Well McDaniels isn't here but Lombardi is. Mallett is a tall, strong armed QB that Chud could potentially like.

Weeden is also a tall strong armed QB we wouldn't need to give up a high draft pick for. No thanks on Mallet.

If Josh Gordon isn't on the Browns roster this season I'm completely done with this team. In fact, Cleveland won't even deserve to have a team.

God this is just the worst. 2 years until this roster is a total dumpster fire again. I can totally see Lombardi basically giving our first rounder away to go get Mallett.

Any goodwill Banner earned with his coaching hires is now gone. This is the same kind of nepotism bullshit Holmgren pulled with Shurmur. Banner is bringing in his moron buddy. I'm losing faith in Haslam too as he had to know from the beginning that Banner meant Lombardi.

By the way, what ever happened to those interviews they had lined up? Couldn't risk going through with them because somebody was going to steal Lombardi from us?

Lombardi ranked Mallett as one of the 3 best QBs in the draft. Also said he's the most likely guy to come in and start immediately in a pro-style offense.

Remember this is the guy who had Clausen as a top 3 pick. This move is seriously disturbing.

Very concerned about Haslam at this point. Hired two guys in Lombardi and Chud that nobody else in the league really wanted (though clearly Chud is a better hire than Lombardi). More than anything though, he seemingly honed in on Banner from the start without any real consideration of other candidates and proceeded to give him full power. He talks a nice game, but he is making some really questionable choices.
