I expressed my views on this before, with Sasha getting my nod. Who is your preference?

Well we may not all agree, or care, but Coach Brown just stated on his radio program that Ira will continue to start.

I can't buy any argument for Newble continuing to start at SG. Brown is totally wrong with this move.
I'm getting tired of these Cavs coaches who stubbornly go with a veteran even if they in no way deserve the minutes. Newble has completely sucked this year and hasn't helped the Cavs at all.

Sasha because his good performance is more recent than Luke's last nice performance. Go with either until one hits a spell and the other becomes hot.

why start newble? we already know he was helpful in screwing our playoff run last year...

start dj

Start Damon Jones? What did he do in those games as a starter apart from miss everything and not play defense?

Sasha's my pick too. Although he did screw up a few times in the Denver game, he saw plenty of minutes last season and performed ok for us. Luke is still a question mark. I was ready to write him off and then he had the big game in LA, but followed that up with two clunkers. If Sasha starts though, how many minutes will it take for him to foul out? 20? 25?

Sasha should get the minutes because Newble sucks and Sasha has more upside than Luke. He had some big games last season offensively, especially the few that he started when LeBron was hurt last season......the Knicks game in NY comes to mind.

I say platoon them. Give them all good minutes in the first half. Then in the second let the hot hand play the bulk.

By the way I was really impressed with Henderson's minutes at PF. I think he should see more minutes there.

I guess I'd start Marshall, and if that didn't work out, Sasha. Something needs to jumpstart Marshall, and maybe sticking him in the starting lineup would help. I don't like Sasha as much as Karma does, but I like him better than the 98-pound weakling. Damon never-have-so-many-been-so-wrong Jones should only come off the bench in situations desparate enough to warrant his three-point attempts, and Ira I-left-it-in-Atlanta Newble should be relegated to the far, far end.

i personally like having jones come off the bench. i think we would've been much better off having luke/sasha start and newble come in with marshall and jones.

having newble and snow in the starting lineup is offensive suicide. that's two players teams can sag on.

until brown gives one of the youngsters consistant minutes we are going to suck. luke was up and down but not seeing the floor will just make it worse. until sasha finds his man on the defensive end he should sit.

luke starting at least gives some hustle at both ends. his shot will come. but he still can pass and grabs some boards.

larry going down and jones slump just happened at the worst of times. long road trip with 4 back to backs. coach brown needed to get those two minutes as much as possible to cover the team for such injuries.

a little more av might be nice too.

Sasha played quite well defensively against Denver. He was little edgy at first and committed a few fouls. But you would expect that from a player who had played just 6 minutes in the past 3 weeks.
