Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Blatt needs to stand up to LeBron. Then the media will be all over it, and the issue will absolutely have to be resolved after that. Blatt's not going anywhere. LeBron's not going anywhere. If LeBron is "coaching" this team we are going nowhere because our offense will stall hard.

Most casual fans don't understand the point you just made. If LeBron is calling the shots, this team will crumble.

LeBron executes, but he needs another set of eyes, he can't be the coach too, that's a fallacy.

You are absolutely right, the offense would grind to a halt.

I've already accepted this is going to take a full season and offseason to get in gear.

Yeah, the sooner you accept that this team is not championship material RIGHT NOW, the easier it is to get through some of those frustrating games.

Let's see what happens until trade deadline and next off season.

This roster is not complete. We had a huge offseason and secured our core pieces going forward. We aren't going to see a completely balanced team until next year, but the important step was securing our stars and letting them to begin to build continuity.

Not to mention get Kyrie and Love their first playoff experience which will help them perform better when we are actually prepared to compete for a title.

The problem is our window is not as big as we all thought when this came together and we have almost no bullets left in the gun when it comes to assets.

i wouldn't go that far. it might be tough to fill all holes this season but even at the trade deadline we should be able to land a nice role player using the TPE and a pick (Ray Allen joining this team will also help). the only position i don't expect us to fill this season is the starting center (that's where Haywood's contract comes into play in the offseason. in a perfect world Okafor has something left in the tank and joins us midseason as well). although i must say i wanna see a starting lineup with TT at some point, it might not be perfect but i think our defense would improve with Tristan in there instead of Varejao.

Our window is pretty damn big to be honest... Kyrie is 22 years old and not in his prime yet, and K Love is 25 years old and has a long time of good basketball left. LeBron is LeBron.

Yeah I don't know what that guy is talking about, we've got plenty of time as long as everyone can stay healthy and the Cavs front office don't screw it up somehow.

Awesome post, thanks for reading my mind. Comforting as well!

yea that would give us the defense we need.

or anything miller/jones dont already provide/lack
redundant.

The part where Windhorst talks about the disconnect between players and Blatt is believable while they look to or are more comfortable with Tyrone Lue makes sense. He is an ex player who has won championships. Blatt is coming from an environment where his team plays half the amount of games as an NBA season. He puts more stock in every game while Lebron etc looks at the journey and stepping stones towards a goal.

I'm not buying all the excuses. There were excuses with Scott. There were excuses with Brown. Blatt is a very intelligent, successful coach who should eventually turn into a winner in the NBA. Mr. James and the rest of his clan must think they are perfect- which is so far from the truth. At what point do the excuses stop? The players need to take responsibility and/or meet with Blatt so they can all figure this out.

There is absolutely no reason this cannot work out. If it doesn't, I'm blaming the diva again. I've seen this movie before.
