I live in the Youngstown area and Browns fans in all of mahoning county are affected by this decision of Wkbn to air the Steelers and Ravens over our beloved Brownies. I'm sick and tired of WKBN doing this to BROWNS fans in the area. I do not know if any of you live in the Mahoning county but I do not want to have to go to the bar on a sunday afternoon to watch my team when I live in Ohio and should be able to watch them from the comfort of my own house. I urge any of you that live in the area to call this number Main Office: 330-782-1144 and voice your displeasure with the station. Hopefully if we get enough complaints we can try and get them to change their minds.

MODS if you wanna move this thread that if perfectly fine I just didn't know where to put this.

We (Youngstown) are an hour away from both cities. I do believe local rules state that any Pittsburgh away games are to be broadcast on WKBN. Browns aren't good yet, and once they are, they will be shown on WKBN frequently instead of the Steelers.

Instead of bitching, get Time Warner Cable, where they are smart enough to give you not only the local WKBN, but they give you the Cleveland CBS station, WOIO, so no matter what, unless the game is blacked out, you are covered.

I can't get time Warner cable I'm in a comcast only area but ditched them to go to direct tv so I could watch the tribe again..... You just can't choose your cable provider maybe If you lived in the boardman area you can but I'm helpless in the situation so I'll continue to bitch

Um, no. If you live in Youngstown, Ohio as you claim, you should be able to get Time Warner Cable.

Instead of bitching about your inaction, do some action.

I live in the Youngstown area.... My exact location is out in Springfield so no I've tried to get time Warner cable but am in a comcast zone for cable tv I've tried before to get time Warner!

If you have DirecTV just bite the bullet and buy Sunday ticket.

Idea:

If you don't want to shell out the moolah for Sunday ticket, get the good ol' rabbit ears out of the garage and see if you can pick up the game via a regular signal. You may even be able to find an old/powerful large one that can be placed in your attic for cheap at a garage sale or junkyard... It would be a bit of work, and a serious PITA, but you'll be able to get your Browns every Sunday!

EDIT: Not sure how the recent "digital signal-only" broadcasting standards will impact this idea... You might have to get a converter box or something, but as I recall, they are very cheap.

Hey I live in regular Springfield, OH

Sorry to hear about this. Once the Bengals started playing better my local CBS affiliate started showing Bengals games instead of Browns games. My dad decided to get Sunday Ticket which is cool except for the fact that it costs a lot especially if you only watch the Browns and it's still subject to blackouts. For example, the Browns/Bengals game in December was blacked out even on Sunday Ticket because I live in a market (Dayton) close to Cincinnati. Other than that it probably beats being in a bar with a bunch of Steelers fans.

DirecTV usually gives a free preview of Sunday Ticket during week 1 so you should be able to catch the game on that

^ This

Got mail from Directv for week 1 preview of the Ticket.

Problem solved

You don't even need directv anymore. You can get Sunday Ticket on PS3 now as well.

i think everyone here is missing the big picture, they're fucking showing a steelers/ravens game in fucking YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO...regardless of what service he has, get that shit outta here

fight the good fight
