WTF is wrong with my Laptop......?????

Ok here is a simple retarded situation....My laptop stops working out of no where....I use it daily and the battery gets heated way to quick IMO...I used it one night and it got hot but there wasnt a problem...So i shut it down with no problem...And the next day the shit wont turn on???

Has anyone had a similar problem??
Any solution or things i can try other than sending it to the company(HP btw) and all that BS???


Just help with thoughts,imputs,suggestion,ANYTHING???????

Maybe you should try a Laptop rather than a Labtop, which does not exist.

I had a similar problem when I had an HP. There are two possibilities with this situation.

1. Messed up battery/outlet/power bar. Basically anything that has to do with power. In that case, on of the possible fixes is:

Take out the battery and hold the power button for about 30 seconds. Then put it back in.

2. The motherboard is fried (Which was my case). Then you have to send it back in and get it changed. Either way, it is probably best to just send it in. It'll take a while, but it is better than not getting it fixed. If you have anything on your hd, it might be erased so I hope your stuff is backed up.

If so, I am not surprised. These laptops are some of the cheapest but poorly made laptops I have ever seen. I went through 2 of them before I switched to Acer

HP Products = weak sauce

Your only option is to buy a new laptop because the cost of fixing yours will probably be more than the laptop is worth.

Acers aren't much better, but okay.

Bossman by removing the battery and holding the power button in it sounds like you cleared your CMOS, which oftentimes helps when a system doesn't boot. Glad to hear it's working.



PS, ThinkPads > all other laptops.

If it happens again test the motherboard by taking the battery and ram out and try starting it, if it beeps like crazy the mb could still be good, but if it doesnt beep its dead.
