Christian influence was worldwide and in every continent in the 1800's . far more missionary and "converting" went on in a such a large scale that recent strides are more about the population increasing than Christianity claiming new realms of influence.
so yea the gospel was spread all across the world in 1896. the fact that you ask shows that perhaps you should study a bit more history outside of the bible.

your complete lack of of awareness of history and the cycle of life and oddities of nature is really compelling.
The whole Idea of the bible to describe the end of the world is to give its followers a sense of understanding . its not to warn you that the world is gonna end. that is inevitible. its to let you know the urgency and importance of following the moral and teachings of the book so tha when it does happen you or more likely your children can take comfort in knowing what a sadist the creator really is. whatever the message its more about living than the end of the world. which will happen when it happens and survival is either sheer chance or nonexistant. either way theres no point in getting worked up about it.
