No seriously, who are the 5 starters for the yankees?

Sabathia
Burnett
Hughes

Wonder if they're gonna come calling for Carmona

Pettite coming back?

why is there so much goddamn yankee discussion here?

It's baseball-related, so I care. If the season started today, my guess would be:

Sabathia
Hughes
Burnett
Nova
Chamberlain

The interesting point in this discussion is that Sabathia has an out clause after the 2011 season that would give him the ability to be a free agent. He's said he won't opt out, but that was before Lee surprised everyone and signed with Philly. He could opt out and essentially hold the Yankees hostage, forcing them to tack on additional high salary years or have a rotation that features AJ Burnett as the #2. This could get interesting.

Doesn't matter because they aren't touching the Phillies if the Yankees are so lucky to make it to the WS and meet them.

I swear this should be a "real yankee fans" forum. Way too much bullshit talk about them for no reason.

NY and Texas have already inquired about Carmona. No link I read it a few days ago in the plain dealer. Said no chance the Indians would move an affordable FOR pitcher unless they get blown away..

FOX Sports' Jon Paul Morosi reports that Fausto Carmona is garnering plenty of interest on the trade market.
Morosi said it's possible that even more teams have asked about Carmona than Zack Greinke given the Royals' high asking price. He adds that the Indians aren't looking to move Carmona but are in "listen and explore" mode, possibly looking to capitalize on a thin starting pitching market. Morosi thinks the Yankees and Rangers could both be in on Carmona if they're unable to work out a trade for Greinke. Carmona is coming off a solid bounce-back season, posting a 3.77 ERA and 1.31 WHIP over 31 starts. Dec. 15 - 1:37 pm et

with that said Grienke was dealt to Milwaukee Carmona's price tag keeps going up..

Jesus Montero must be included or just tell NY go f off

They'd never give us Montero for him.

I'd want no part of Montero...his value is significantly less considering he can't catch.

Fausto is my favorite Indian and pretty much the only guy worth watching on this team besides Choo. If we trade him, it would hurt pretty damn bad.

And besides him being my favorite player, it just isn't logical. He is a legit #2 starter locked up long term for a reasonable deal and he is still in his 20s. Why trade him?

I'd put Santana on that list. I think Brantley will be one of those exciting players as well, but we'll see I guess.

Seems like every beat reporter in Cleveland is saying that Carmona is not going to be traded, which makes perfect sense. His contract is very reasonable. I don't see him going anywhere.

Edit: I forgot about Chris Perez.
