Bo Jackson was the closest to a superhero i've ever seen. I think he was the greatest athlete to ever live. No one has ever had more speed, power and athleticism than Bo...all without performance enhancing drugs. What if he would have stayed healthy? What if... :bigcry:

Anyhow, I watched this with my wife, kids and some of their freinds. They were all wildly entertained. I figure most of you never saw Bo in action. Check it out...

I don't know if you ever played Tecmo Bowl, Max. The game had only one play where you could give Bo the ball, and it was a run straight up the middle. The play, for all it's simplicity, was unstoppable. Bo fucking Jackson.

Bo was great. I just am doubting that he never took PEDs of some sort...

He was already a mythical genetic freak in gradeschool and highschool. I doubt he could afford them...he was dirt poor living in a shanty. Everywhere he played the people and organizations were amazed that he never lifted weights. One would think that if someone made the decision to do steroids that they would also lock themselves in a weightroom to take full advantage of them. I saw an interview with his Auburn coach Pat Dye. He said the only thing that drove him crazy about Bo was that he wouldn't lift weights. He said Bo told him something to the effect "Coach, I've always been the strongest and fastest person on any track or field i've ever stepped on...if i'm ever not, then come talk to me about lifting weights".

I don't think he ever took a thing. I think his genetics were just a gift from God.

Without question it was the best play in the game. Jackson is basically unstoppable. Even if the defense calls the same play, he's able to at least get back to the line of scrimmage.

When I was in fifth grade, in the St. Richards parking lot, I punched a kid in the face and broke his nose. That is the only comparable feeling I can think of to calling the Bo Jackson play in Tecmo Bowl and your opponent doesn't shape the entire defense around stopping it. Bo fucking Jackson.

Click on the 32:00 mark of the first video. Bo had hit a foul ball in his first at bat which eveyone thought was fair. He went on to hit one of the most impressive singles ever...a routine grounder to 2nd that Bo beat out by 10 feet. Game on...

Bo got handed the ball 5 times inside the 10 with 90+ yards to go...3 times it was a touchdown.

The 42:00 mark was pretty good. His first all-star game when he hit a dead center dinger. The "Bo Knows..." campaign started that same game durng commercials.

In my gut I dont think he ever used PED's...

If he did, his career might not have ended due to injuries. You know, that thing that PED's helps you recover from.

If I was ever presented with concrete evidence that he did, I would be sad on a personal level. Not saying it couldn't have happened just say I believe and want to believe that humans can be that good naturally.

Dude was a beast in every sense of the word.
