The neighborhood around Youngstown is awful. My friend went to school to at YSU and he said he often heard gunshots.

What...? Are you kidding me? The South Side is just a nightly gun show. My old chemistry teacher said he went to get his paper from outside one day, and a dude pulled up to a house and unloaded a full clip from an AK47 into the porch of another house.
 
Ever since the Mafia left Youngstown, that city has turn into a Shithole.
 
Everyone I know in that town got the fuck out.
 
Omega Psi Phi was the fraternity. From what I've heard, it wasn't an official university fraternity house, but since members of the fraternity lived there, it functioned as a de facto frat house.

I go to school there now. The campus itself isn't bad, but the surrounding areas are awful. If you get 2 blocks away from the university, you're taking a real risk. South side is gone. West side is bad too.

The kid who was killed went to my high school, though our time there didn't overlap.
