Why is around the horn saying tonight's game shouldn't be play.
Wow - Half this noise wasn't generated when Christy Mack got battered !!! And her assault was brutal.
Also interesting is the fact that the media is more hell bent on making Ray Rice the bad guy than trying to sympathize with Janay. Seems like they are waiting for a bad guy in order to talk about the act and deed all while feeling morally right cos they had the balls to call out somebody as bad in social media or in front of the whole world. How much effort actually goes into giving comfort to the victim and finding out what she really wants ?
Cos if Janay and her kids are dependent on Ray Rice for taking care of their expenditures, then by kicking Ray Rice out of the NFL aren't we also not screwing her big time ?
Honestly, I absolutely just cannot believe this. Goodell oversees one of the most powerful organizations in the entire world. They have an unlimited amount of money, connections and resources. They literally can get damn near any piece of info they want, at any time.
And the security footage at a casino? Where the NFL brings in hundreds of millions in bet slips a year? PFFFFFT. Please. I mean, TMZ got someone to give it to them. TMZ. The AP even got employees and police personnel to talk rather candidly.

as far as men hitting women. thats a personal belief.. not everyone feels that way. this a new world where women are in the military. police officers and firefighters. They attack men and while they dont do the damage a guy does its still violence.
You're saying that Rice knocking his wife out cold isn't brutal?
That's dead wrong. As is your complaint of Ray Rice needing to stay in the NFL to provide for Janay. Twisted...
And more importantly why haven't anyone come out and explained why Janay is still staying with Rice ? She is the victim right ? If she can forgive him then what is everybody's problem ? Why does the world have to butt itself into somebody else's business and make it a huge deal when they are over it?
Seriously? Do you know much about domestic violence? The victim usually "forgives" the abuser just for them to do it again. Either the victim is too afraid to leave, they don't have the means to leave, etc. Just because she "forgave" him doesn't make it any less of a big deal, and it doesn't mean he hasn't abused her before. Considering that he so easily resorted to knocking her out kind of makes me believe this isn't the first time.

He was arrsested and took a plea. His punishment was 1 year of probation and 1 year in a program to help domestice violence ( a program campaigned for by the very groups calling for Goodells head ironically"This is part of the problem with domestic abuse and part of the problem the NFL has in fairly punishing this.
We are asking the NFL to go far beyond the law. Rice never got brought up on charges yet he was fired from his job. Legally that is not right.
But the victims of these cases are afraid to speak or have other reasons for not speaking up. That too is not right.
Goodell had a tough situation to deal with and he has done everything he possible can to get it wrong.
To some it up,. this is a no win situation for the NFL, and Goodell is a complete asshat.

The point is he was arrested for assault.
he punched someone.
we gonna start banning kids from schools the first time they punch someone?
maybe rice is beating this woman daily for the last 3 years or maybe he isnt
Maybe parkar has battered victim syndrome... maybe she doesnt.
maybe the ravens dropped Rice cause he was getting an indefinite suspension. maybe it had no impact on their decisions.
If he stays clean for 12 months, his record will be cleared. Basically, chances are it will be like this never happened from a legal stand point.
Remove the emotions and you see what i mean about this being a slippery slope. NOW is asking the NFL to fix a problem that the law has only scratched. We are putting the cart before the horse.
That said, i dont feel bad for Goddell or Rice. Both deserve what they get, but i am thinking more from a legal stand point and less from an emotional stand point.
