as of now, we are a 2nd round casualty. get off your hands griff
Rodney hood is going to surprise a lot of people. He is a very good shooter who is surprisingly adept at slashing. He is also very big for a wing if you plan on using him at two guard next to exum.Gobert is an animal defensively, and Favors and Hayward are solid, but I still think they are a few shooters away from real playoff contention. You can't rely on Exum and Trey Burke to do most of your scoring and beat the Warriors, Pelicans, Rockets, Spurs, Thunder, Blazers, Mavs, Suns, Clippers, or Grizzlies enough times to eek out 47 wins to make the playoffs

Utah will finish above Dallas. Mathews and parsons will not be healthy until January. Dirk is a year older. They have zero from the pg and center spot . Thier bench sucks . Utah is clearly better next year. Mathews is a long long away still . May play in January but won't be 100 percent till march or April. Dallas is going to be bad until he gets healthy.Rodney hood is going to surprise a lot of people. He is a very good shooter who is surprisingly adept at slashing. They could also go small by moving Gordon or Hood to 4, Burks at 2 and either of Gobert or Favors at the 5. The Jazz have a ton of young talent. I agree with @Rich though. A lot of their success is going to hinge on the development of exum. I do think Hood could become a very good scoring option for them though.
And we are now a worse basketball team. If you're serious of course because I'm not sure.Do the deal with OKC. Novak can shoot the ball and play 3+4. PJIII can play 3+4 and could serve as the main backup to LJ. DJ can be the PG backup and we play Mo as the 2G backup.
In this scenario, we let Smith + Delly walk.
Miserable? I seen that man play some above average defense when accounted for. Sure, he's had miserable lapses, but even LeBron has too, (Super uncontested lazy closeout on Wesley's 3pt shot).Kevin Love is a miserable defender, but he helps us offensively so we live with it.
Just as Moz covers up for Love, Ibaka will provide the rim protection that Kanter doesn't.
Kanter provides OKC with a viable 3rd scoring option in the post they haven't ever had, and it will take tremendous pressure off Westbrook/Durant to have to do everything offensively.
All teams have guys that they live with their crappy defense because they can put up points. Fewer teams live with guys that have little offensive ability but play good defense.
Normally not the stalker type, but...jumped on Instagram and saw that Andy just started following the Memphis Grizzlies and also Mike Conley. Anyone else think that's a bit odd?

Calling @priceFTW. Pretty sure he has previously posted a great statistical analysis of Kevin's above average defense.Miserable? I seen that man play some above average defense when accounted for. Kevin deserves more credit than miserable.
Interesting because the other team really chasing Joe Johnson was the Grizzlies...

Cavs in: Joe Johnson
Brooklyn in: Brendan Haywood, Jeff Green
Grizzlies in: Anderson Varejao
I don't care...just do something already.
PS - The Cavs were probably never serious in trading AV.
