This. This is my big complaint with them is they always do this.
If you don't have a respectable gaming library out there then I'm not buying your system until you do when it will likely have a package deal anyway.
Why the hell would I buy this just to play Zelda and hope to all hell that they plan on releasing a new smash bros or Donkey Kong(especially since the "new" mario kart isn't even new?).
It just always feels rushed.
All launches are light on content. I agree that this one feels especially light, but at least Zelda is really damn good and will take you plenty of time to complete.
I also agree that they should have done a better job selling future releases when they revealed this, but I expect E3 to do that job. We already know we are getting a new open world Mario, another Splatoon (which was a surprise hit and a great spin on the shooter), a new fighting IP, and a Xenoblade sequel. Even MK8 Deluxe is a great value proposition for everyone other than the 8 million people that bought it on Wii U since you get all the DLC and the new battle mode (something that was missing from the original) in one package.
As I said up thread, this definitely was rushed and their messaging was bad, but the Switch will be a great system to grab a few months from now when they've gotten their feet under them. The fact that this is both a console and handheld system also mean that their dev teams from those worlds will be making stuff for one platform thus doubling the usual output we see.
