Larry Bird would often look like the fastest guy on the floor late in games because of his endurance. He could also dribble at full speed for a big man.
Larry could Jump and and run with elite lateral quickness and he ran the floor with gusto.
Heck in his thirties the guy was doing stuff with a practically broken back that a lot of guys cant do healthy.
Could he Jump from the free court lie to the basket... of course not.
Larry also adapted. when his injuries began mounting up. he changes his game. he stopped rebounding above the rim and learned to rely more on blocking out and anticipating where the ball was going.
Larry Bird used everything all the time. If he lost a step or couldn't keep a guy in front of him he would find another way.
