Whether these players are trying or not, clearly enough is not being done.Well it's easy to say don't break the rules but the rules literally changed while he was suspended that would have prevented his suspension so that kind of sucks. Also the part about going above and beyond to be compliant is why I brought up issues outside of football. There are current NFL players who deal with depression. I know one of them personally. It's not as cut and dry for every player. Some guys just deal with things and can't get a handle on it as good or as fast as other players can. It doesn't mean they aren't trying to though.
That's a shame. However, the NFL does not have to allow anyone to participate if they are a rule breaker. No matter the extra circumstances, if he keeps violating the rules, he will never be an NFL player again. That's the bottom line.
