Pretty much lines up with what I said the other day...
CP3 to Rockets eliminates the Clippers as a possible destination.
New York to Cleveland flight isn't so bad...
Melo to Cleveland makes all the sense in the world for all parties involved.

I don't think Melo ever wanted to leave, but Phil was doing everything possible to push him out
Trade is the only option though.
I wonder if Chauncey/Dan/Bron would be fine with trading TT for Melo.
Because, I know, I would.
Ideally you keept TT and try to get Melo for Shump, Frye and RJ but with Phil gone, I doubt Knicks accept that deal. The only way I can see them accepting a trade for Melo is if we offer TT or Love. Love is a total no-go for Melo but TT? I would do that!
Would you?
I've thought of this too; and yes, I'd trade Tristan for Melo... reluctantly.
I think Tristan for Melo works best if we somehow were able to get PG without giving up Love -- which, seems impossible now. So I'd rather they just salary dump Melo to us, for contracts.... it works for them, and should work for us.
Why would any team in the NBA want TT?
"We really need a guy that can sometimes get you some offensive rebounds, he can't defend or protect the paint, his offensive game is a joke and he has zero court vision and basketball IQ, but hey how about those 2-3 offensive rebounds am I right?"

If the deal is done, who is Houston sending outMelo deal is basically done to Houston. Cavs just did it have enough intriguing assets to make it happen.
The last piece of the puzzle is finding the right package of assets to the team that takes on Ryan anderson. They've got the teams lined up, and it's at the finish line, but the team that takes Anderson is looking for better draft pick compensation. Biggest issue is Houston and NYK are a bit limited on that front.
Cavs just aren't willing to overhaul the roster and still are reluctant to part with Love....and rightfully so. They want Iman as a centerpiece of a deal but teams aren't stupid.....there's a lot of solid wing defenders in the league who can't shoot and demand less than $11M a year. I still think Iman gets dealt but not for value.....rather financial flexibility to be used in a subsequent move.

Also what team is taking on Anderson
