We conceded 34 points in 4th quarter now. We started with atrocious offence, and ended with atrocious defence.
We managed to put a unit on the floor that had the following:
Poor defense against the Spurs. Jeff Green on LMA is a giant mismatch and forced doubles which really hurt. Also Korver out there was a guy they constantly sought out and attacked from the perimeter.
Poor spacing...You can't run a LBJ at the 5 line-up with Jeff Green and Clarkson out there. There's pretty obvious places to cheat off of.
Poor bbiq moments -Clarkson multiple terrible turnovers since the start of the quarter. multiple bad fouls that put SA on the line. Same story for Kyle Korver. Huge negatives by both guys.
I just don't understand how Nance played 15 minutes man. He needs to play 30-36 minutes every single night the rest of the season. He needs to play at least 75% of his minutes with LeBron. He's our best defensive player on the team and actually can anchor the defense. His roll threat offensively completely opens up our offense and especially helps the ball handlers whether it is LBJ, Jordan, Hood or Hill.
Nance was dominant against the Thunder defensively and to a lesser extent Boston. Those are the games we need to make the blueprints going forward.
We need to immediately scrap Green and Korver getting anymore than 12 minutes each unless one of them is really amazingly hot.
We NEED to make tough decisions and cut the rotation to 8-9. Tristan, Korver, Green are the 3 top casualties. JR right behind those 3 unless hes hot early.
Having 11 guys who can play doesnt mean anything in the playoffs or against the better teams. In the playoffs you play 8 and trust 7, and in the finals you play 7 and trust 6. We know how this shit works.
