Game 1 | Cavs @ Celtics Oct. 28th, 8:00PM (ET)

Re: Season Opener | Cavs @ Celtics Oct. 28th, 8:00PM (ET)

Off night for LeBron and our shooters weren't hitting their shots. Mike Brown threw away our lead in the 3rd quarter as usual. The key is building chemistry so that we are better than this team when it counts in May. We have to figure out Mo's fit with this team. He did some really good things but was careless with the ball.

Better off with Sasha playing with the starters and Delonte playing PG with the bench. More balance...better rotations better size on defense

Boobie looked really comfortable running the second unit! I almost thought he looked more comfortable than Mo. Although, I thought Mo looked fine -- you can tell he's feeling a bit of the pressure to perform...but atleast he showed emotion and the desire to win.

Also, we should only go small if the matchups allow it. Wally can't be out there guarding a power post player like Powe.

Sasha had periods of the game where he was playing his game.. choosing his spots cutting through the defense and chasing around ray allen. then he tried to be something he isn't.. a scorer and proceeded to miss shot and turn the ball over consistantly..

Tell me one thing....If you were all-star,2nd option in every team, playing good whole career and get only a few bad shoots per game, and play at 4 and making screens....Will you be happy????

Who the hell cares?

Wally's job is to make shots.

When he doesn't make shots, he sucks.

Re: Season Opener | Cavs @ Celtics Oct. 28th, 8:00PM (ET)

So do we have to wait until the deadline to trade Wally?

Re: Season Opener | Cavs @ Celtics Oct. 28th, 8:00PM (ET)

If the goal is to get ready to win a championship, then you develop the young players named Hickson early in the year to see if they will be able to contribute. Wright didn't lose the game, but I'd rather lose a game with Hickson learning than with Wright fading.

I kind of agree. Hickson would at the worst bring energy and rebounding, and we know he can finish and shoot better than Wright.

Re: Season Opener | Cavs @ Celtics Oct. 28th, 8:00PM (ET)

You can kinda tell LeBron isnt too serious about operating in the post when he either doesn't fight for position on the block and ends up posting up close to the 3 pt line instead or... when he does post up, he just dribbles the ball back out and does his iso thing at the top of the arc :(

Re: Season Opener | Cavs @ Celtics Oct. 28th, 8:00PM (ET)

Game was lost late 3rd/early 4th as inexplicably we bench our whole starting lineup as Boston builds a lead. Lebron was bad, but this is a game we should have won.

How about that improved up tempo offense? Oh wait...

Boston shot terrible from 3 as well, so blaming missed jumpers is a waste of time.

AV the only guy that didn't suck for extended periods.

On key possessions late 4th, we don't even get a shot up on consecutive trips, then Lebron heaves a J from 18+. What the hell is that?

It's game 1, but this was reminiscent of just about every other Cavs close loss to a good team. No halftime adjustments. No clutch FT shooting. Comically bad substitution patterns. Role players failing to hit their open shots.
