As far as the speed thing, it's great that he's quick. Looking at the stats though, Ludlow and Allen have very, very similar MiLB numbers when it comes to plate appearances and OBP. Even breaking it down even further Allen has 561 singles/walks while Ludlow has 522. Despite the numbers being very similar, Allen has 157 stolen bases and Ludlow only has 39.
He looks to be at the least, a good defensive OF with some tools that could make him a decent player. He's struggled at the major league level but in his 103 MLB plate appearances last year he managed a 9.7% BB% and 17.5% K%. That is encouraging.
