Kevin Love, Cavaliers:Love is about to start a four-year, $120 million contract extension that he signed last year. The team is eager to see how he'll fit in with new coach John Beilein's system. Love played just 22 games last season because of foot surgery. These facts don't add to a trade scenario. However, Love and the team knew when he signed the deal that there was a good chance he wouldn't finish it in Cleveland, and a trade may be inevitable at some point. Interest in Love could ramp up if he plays well for Team USA in the World Cup this summer in China.

I don't know how I feel about Love playing for Team USA. On one hand, yes it could raise his stock but more than likely, he'll get hurt and end up missing 50 games next season.
 
wonder if the cavs encouraged or tried to discourage him
from playing USA basketball. Also was he a lot healthier
last year than we were lead to believe and it was part of a tank?

Please, OKC. Go fishing for another star player to pair with Russ. Maybe even one who is well past his prime but is a really nice guy who happened to go to college with Russ.

It will be interesting to see what their plan is, whether they're planning to continue to build around Russ or not.
If they are, they need to make win now moves. Have thought he would fit well in OKC for a while.
 
They are going to have to trade Russ, no way he's staying unless they use some of that collateral to contend.
He will demand a trade.
 
I wonder if they might be open to a swap of Steven Adams, some picks and filler for Love/TT/JR?
