2019 NFL offseason thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This could be trouble for the Colts. They said the same thing about Durant during the finals.

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck will not practice for the next two days as he continues to manage a calf injury, according to coach Frank Reich.

Luck did not practice Tuesday, following an off-day for players on Monday.

Luck told reporters that he felt pain in the calf during Sunday's practice. He acknowledged that the idea of surgery was previously discussed but determined not to be necessary.

"The nature of it is a calf strain. I say lower leg because I feel pain in my ankle area. I've had images and X-rays and everything, and my Achilles is not at extra risk. There is no tears or swelling or anything that's indicated," he said.

Reich also said Luck would not play in the Colts' preseason opener, a decision made months ago. The coach would not commit to Luck's status for the second and third preseason games.

Luck said he would be ready for Week 1 of the regular season.

Luck missed the Colts' OTAs and minicamp after injuring his calf during the spring. General manager Chris Ballard said Wednesday that Luck would be limited for the first 7-10 days of camp because the team didn't want to rush him back.

Difference is that they're in no real rush to play Luck. If he misses the preseason, who gives a fuck?

It was 5 weeks between games from when Durant injured his calf to when he tore his Achilles. I would also think that Durant is a better conditioned athlete than Luck and his recovery time should have been faster.

It may be much ado about nothing, but to me there are red flags where they told him that his calf injury won't have any affect on his Achilles. I surely won't be drafting him in Fantasy Football, that's for certain.

C'mon bro. 5 NBA games is nowhere near the same healing time as 5 NFL games...even with playoff spacing.

Haven't you heard? Brooke Pryor and Crystal Espinal are the real monsters in this whole saga. /s

On another note, interesting story about one of our old favorites. I remember when we thought him/Colt/Haden/TJ Ward were going to be our dynasty perennial Super Bowl core...

Uh Tom Brady 2yr ext?

One day his stem cell arm will be on display by itself in canton

We'll see what happens when he hits 43, 44 years old.

Even though he can make the throws, when the hits come, they've been a little harder for him each time to get up from each time, it seems.

The team is one hard hit away from a season of Brian Hoyer.

Not trying to sound obtuse but it seems Larry Johnson has some grade A CTE:

Here is some research I have been doing for the past few months. It is for any nerds that like football stats. I will post a few tweets but feel free to read the entire thread.
