I'm on my phone, but just wanted to get a thread up.

Tonight's matchup is Adam Plutko and Spencer Turnbill.

Indians lineup:
Lindor, SS
Mercado, CF
Santana, 1B
Puig, RF
Kipnis, 2B
Reyes, DH
Freeman, 3B
Perez, C
Naquin, LF

Detroit should lose a draft pick for being this bad

I think there should be some kind of penalty for teams like Detroit and Baltimore that are barely fielding a major league team and are likely going to finish with 110+ losses.

Maybe set in some kind of thing where "hey, if you lose 110 games, you're losing a 3rd or 4th round draft pick too". It's not hard to put together a major league roster that goes 53-109. I reckon all of us here could probably paste something together.

Puig with an absolute rocket there to dead center. Going to need more of that from him, Reyes, and Kipnis to help pick up the slack left behind by JRam.

Well this inning escalated quickly.

Mercado bailed him out big time there. When Plutko is missing his spots, he'd get knocked around in a college league. His control is everything.

Puig out because they tagged the dirt in front of him

Should make fans appreciate the Indians FO a whole heck of a lot more.

For majority of the teams in the MLB, losing is the only way for them to acquire the type of top-end talent needed to win consistently. I mean, it works, unfortunately.

But really, the players and MLBPA are at fault for creating this mess. They approved a CBA that is so imbalanced and incongruous to a player's peak value-- majority of free agents are getting paid on the downside of their careers. They unwittingly gave the owners all the power and a massive excuse not pay anyone.
