2019 Series #43 | Indians @ Tigers | August 27th, 28th, and 29th

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Tampa Bay is getting shellacked 12-0 by Houston in the 6th.

Oakland is scraping by Kansas City 2-1 in the 7th.

Minnesota is beating the White Sux 2-1 in the 6th.

But it’s not like Dolan is buying back his share, a new minority investor will purchase it from Sherman, likely someone both he and Dolan agree on

It’s replacing a minority investor with a minority investor not one just vanishing into thin air. Now maybe the new guy doesn’t spend money as freely, but I question just how much Sherman was pumping into the team and how much is just sensationalizing a move

What? He's basically on Twitter right now saying this is bad news for Tribe fans.

Right. He continues to cry poor on behalf of Paul Dolan, although every owner refuses to open up their books.

From watching the game, it sounded like Jefry, Carrasco, Haase, and Otero should be added to the 25 man roster on 9/1 in Tampa.

Jefry should be an extra bullpen arm/opener since he hasn't been stretched back out as a starter. May see Smith/Edwards up as well, but it sounded like since Columbus is in the playoffs, they are probably leaving most of the guys down there for now.

Then Luplow should be back in a series or two after that. Zimmer actually may be ready also at that time as well from the amount of at bats hes got.

I’m really not seeing how he’s apologizing for Dolan at all in his tweets

On Plutko:

Bottom 5% of the league in K%, but Top 2% in the league in BB%

Top 10% in the league in Hard% Hit, but bottom 5% in the league in HR/9

Having that elite walk rate that season has done wonders in shaving down his ERA and giving us serviceable starts. 15 of his 19 home runs allowed have been solo shots. If you aren't going to strike out batters, it's paramount to limit your base runners.

So, what you’re telling me is that he’s been very lucky

Ultimately, sure

Last year he would've ranked at 104th for starting pitching WHIP at 1.32. This year it's down to 1.14, which would rank 32nd for starters with at least 70 innings. That's a pretty considerable jump, as is the 0.65 drop in FIP

I'm seeing the lower WHIP as more of a function of him being fortunate than him actually being that much better. His FIP is absolute trash.

Yeah I don't see his tweets as spin in favor of the Dolans. If anything, it's painting a more negative picture.

Feels very Tomlin-esque
