2019 Cleveland Browns Regular Season

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Interesting that the statistics models showed us at risk, because new HC and because of the player churn..We had exactly that game..

We all knew the O-line was week. I don't think anyone expected the defensive lapse..

I don’t know. The line couldn’t protect against a really mediocre front. Tennessee was bottom half in sack rate last year, bottom 3rd in pressure rate. That bunch absolutely destroyed our front and harassed Baker all day.

Maybe they improve but it’s not like we just played the Bears on defense. We couldn’t slow a below average front from living in our backfield. That likely doesn’t bode well at all.

Losing Robinson hurt a lot. I don't disagree the line was bad, but again, its week one.

You can make adjustments, and protection adjustments. Not debating the line isn't a serious issue. I've made that point in the game thread. That's the biggest takeaway/concern.

They made it work last year, but I never thought the line was really that good.

We'll see how it plays out. If they come out next Monday, and fall on their faces again. Then we know what we got.

Not establishing the run a lot, hurt us too. We got to get Chudd more touches. We need more balance. We were predictable, and the Titans took advantage of it.

Everything went bad today. Playcalling, no discipline, and then it just went off the rails from there.

So Baker left with his hand wrapped.

People were just...nasty about it.
I mean we've been through a lot as fans I get it, but man...what else can you do?

I mean I remember when the Cavs got outclassed by the medicore New York Knicks on their opening day when they had the chips stacked this high.

Felt very...similar.

Just really unbearable to deal with the likely takes we're going to see coming out until moday.

I was actually just thinking about that game. For everyone who wants to jump off a cliff, remember the Cavs eventually went to the Finals that year.

Now, I am NOT in any way shape or form saying we're going to the Super Bowl. Or even the playoffs, at this point. Just saying you can lay a turd, flush it, and move on. (Not the best metaphor.)

This can go one of two ways. Either they take the humiliation and realize nobody's handing them anything, and get back to what works, especially with an OL that is far worse than last year's, by getting the ball out of Baker's hands quicker, running Chubb more than, what, 5 times in the first half...

...or they keep up the same entitled bullshit that got them wiped out today.

I severely overestimated the dominance of talent at our key spots vs. the fact that this team hasn't been together very long, has a young coach, and a bunch of guys that don't really know how to win. So maybe it's a good thing they got their asses handed to them.

Don't know what they do about the OL, though. Jesus that was horrible.

It's a cliché but a good offensive line can make any QB or RB look good. Dak Prescott has turned into a serviceable to good QB thanks in large part to the offensive line. Dallas invested heavily in the line in money and high draft picks and it's paying massive dividends.

Too bad Dorsey and Kitchens don't have the same approach. It was the ultimate in arrogance and hubris to think we could roll into the season with Robinson and Hubbard as our OTs (not to mention trading away Zeitler).

It's amazing that year after year, doesn't matter the HC, doesn't matter the GM, the offensive line continues to get ignored.

That will probably start with, "Didja see that Laramie Tunsil deal?"

I'm still having a hard time wrapping my head around 18 penalties. Like... they could go out against the Jets next week, not commit a single penalty, and probably still be leading the league in that category.

It certainly won't, given the age and monetary differences.

Or managerial ineptitude on behalf of the Texans.

Exactly. Trent is older, will want/need a new deal, and has pretty publicly said he wants out.

LeBron paved the way for him on how to leave pressers.

Didn’t get to watch.

LeBron set the precedent by actually jerking himself off in a presser and finishing on the face of an entire city.

I have to hope that isn’t what happened in Baker’s today???
