Chance to gain another half game today with the Twins, Rays and Athletics all in action.
Even if the Indians were to sweep the Twins this weekend, it would still be an uphill battle.
Both teams still have 1 remaining series against the Tigers and White Sox. The difference in their schedules is the Indians play 6 vs. the Phillies and Nats, while the Twins have 7 vs. the Royals.
The Indians have the hardest schedule left between the teams left trying to get the central and the Wild Card. This wild card race will be decide by a game at the end it feels like.
The Rays actually have a tougher remaining SOS.
My dad and I are most likely heading their Saturday for our first game of the year. Just kind of watching the weather since it's a three hour drive from where we're at, but I'll have that place jumping if I'm there.
Indians have more games left against above .500 teams if I am correct, but I could be wrong.
Remaining SOS:
CLE: .486
TB: .513
Remaining games vs +.500:
CLE- 9 (MIN x3, PHI x3, @WAS x3)
TB- 8 (@LAD x2,, BOS x4, NYY x2)
Hopefully, the Dodgers and Yankees will still be trying for home-field advantage throughout. Otherwise, those could be easier games for the Rays than we think.Remaining games vs +.500:
