2019 Cleveland Browns Regular Season

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
lololololololol

Fuck this schedule bruh lololololol

Look at this shit. I hope we run the table.

Browns going 3-2.

I have faith for the first time since Anderson, Edwards and Winslow.

LET'S GOOOO!

Well, good news is if you watch Baker's presser after the game, he immediately talks about how he has to be better at checking down and keeping the chains moving and not always going after that 20 yard gain. Uses OBJ's td as an example of quick, simple, short completions and simply just getting into his playmakers hands. Acknowledges how he feels he can learn and take a bunch away from watching the film on this game.

Nice to know that he's already thinking about and acknowledges what/how he needs to be better, immediately after the first win of the year.

There are only 3 RB's who have more touches than Nick Chubb so far this season

Marlon Mack (47)
Run CMC (47)
Dalvin Cook (46)
Nick Chubb (42)

So for all the talk about getting Chubb involved, he seems pretty involved. The issue is putting it all together with the passing attack. I think when Njoku and Higgins both out there it opens the field up for Baker. Also when Kareem Hunt is out there it will really open some shit up. He's still holding onto the ball way too long but I think that's part of them working out the kinks.

He needs more CARRIES. He should be racking close to 20 a game really if we want this offense humming like to was at the end of last year.

Is it me, or does this offensive system feel more Monken than it does Freddie? What’s with all the shot gun formation? What happened to our under the center play action attack that worked so well last year?

He's getting enough carries but if you start to force feed him then the passing game will never get in rhythm.

Couple of those 2nd and 3, 3rd and 3’s and on the first drive from the 4 he could have got the ball.

It wouldn’t have been force feeding it’s getting the ball to your bell cow back in short yardage situations. Also opens up the play action passing game that we seemed to completely go against this game for some god forsaken reason.

The passing game gets in rhythm by Baker not looking for a homerun on every play and by also mixing in enough run plays.

Forcing 15+ yard throws on every play is exactly how not to get in rhythm.

Chubb is at 17.5 carries a game, which would've 4th last year behind Zeke, Gurley and Chris Carson. He's also averaging 3.9 ypc.

I don't see that as a light workload, and right now, those runs are inefficient even for running plays. I don't see running the ball more as any kind of solution.

We'll go as Baker goes.

@CavsRules I have no idea why you want Ramsey.

Not only is Greedy performing extremely well, but we are certainly not going to replace Ward and Ramsey is going to be due a contract. It makes literally zero sense.

On top of that, our biggest avenue to improve the offensive line right now is our draft capital.

So we’re going to need to hang on to that.

So, it's pretty much been confirmed by Browns media (although not really reported) that Blake Williams told Gregggg about OBJ's visor & Greggg then went on to inform the refs. Next play, OBJ is out of the game & the visor is being removed.

No one should have had to tell him or the officials- he shouldn't have had it on. League wide rule for over 15 years and its for the player's safety. If anyone, the Browns should have told him. This daily 'look at me' extracurricular stuff from OBJ looks like it could get old.

I have much less issue with the overall workload versus the situational usage or play calling. There are 2nd and 3rd downs where the team could benefit from running plays. Chubb also needs to be out there on third down to present the threat of a run.

But I am perfectly comfortable with 17-20 carries a game. I’d prefer not to run him into the ground this early in his career given his injury history.

Watching the first game I wondered how he was allowed to have it. At night with no sun shining through it it made it even more obvious. But, then again this is the "out to get me" era.

I don't condone double standards.
