I looked up the snap counts for last night's game. We are clearly just a 4-2-5 defense. We were in 4-2-5 for 100% of the game if my math is correct. Mack Wilson did get in some reps but it was a sub for Kirksey. There was no 3 Linebackers sets.
The break down for 3 safety vs 3 corners the week was 45% to 55% so at least Wilks didn't lean on the safeties as much and let the stronger group get the majority of the work load.
As for the D-line, they went to more of a 7 man rotation and didn't lean so hard on our 4 starters. Vernon and Garrett played 72% and 69% of the snaps while they played 92% and 90% in week one. Ekuale got playing time while Chris Smith and Chad Thomas got a uptick in snaps. It seems like all 4 D-line starters got around a 20% reduction in snaps.
On offense the only big thing I noticed was Demetrius Harris got 78% of the snaps. I know it's because Njoku got hurt but I would think we could have a better receiver threat than Harris is. I'm still disappointed Dorsey let Devalve go.
