You’re allowed to wear it pre game but it has to be changed for the game.

You do not see players with dark visors IN the game. They all change them out. Odell did not.

Do you often wonder when you see visors across the league? It does seem to be levied inconsistently.
If you see a guy with a dark visor then they most likely have medical clearance such as Ladainian Tomlinson who had migraines. It's so the medical staff can see their eyes if they get layed out.

Tell ya what Mike McCarthy is starting to look like something that could’ve done wonders for us.

Le'veon, just like quite a few players, have the dark visor for pregame only. Its switched to a clear visor before the start of the game.

Or not, if you are Odell Beckham.

Beckham then talks in the presser after the game how it's always something and he is unfairly singled out. Then goes on to say he is still going to wear what he wants...ummmm. :conf (11)::conf (9):

Positive takeaways:

-Myles Garrett is going to have a dominant season. I loved his energy during the game - but the penalties have to be cleaned up. He's still young, he'll learn how to control his motor a bit more as he gets older. The power moves on display are something we haven't seen much from him since he was handcuffed by GGG. The d-line is showing why it is the strength of this team.

-OBJ was easily worth the mid-1st and Peppers (who's stinking it up in NY right now whereas Morgan Burnett is holding his own here). We need to find more ways to get him the ball on short routes. I saw he did a TON of pre-snap motion to try to freeze defenders but we didn't hand him the ball on the reverse.

-Austin Seibert was the right choice.

-Christian Kirksey has gotten a lot of heat from Browns fans but he has shown why he's a solid player. He has blown up several plays so far that could've been big plays for the opponents. Captain Kirk is showing his worth.

-Our offense seemed to click better with Harris + Pharaoh blocking than it did with Njoku.

-Our offensive line continues to be woefully underrated. It's not good but it's not bad at all. Week 1 It actually blocked WELL according to PFF despite the injury + ejection, and in Week 2 they did pretty good. Which leads me into the negatives...

Negative takeaways:

-Baker Mayfield continues to look bad. Missing targets, holding on to the ball too long, and unable to diagnose the coverage pre-snap. He looks jittery in the pocket and ignores too many short passes to gain yards. He doesn't step up as much as he used to as he's not anticipating the pressure well. I fear for him going against the Rams next week.

With that said, I'm as big of a Baker fan as anyone. This is the sophomore struggle. Teams are doing everything to try to confuse him - I'm confident he'll improve and become a better quarterback. He just needs to learn that the 5 yard pass on 2nd down is OKAY. Gotta take that, man.

-Freddie Kitchens continues to confuse me with his play-calling. It's like he wants to force our offense down the opponents throats and isn't able to establish a rhythm. I get it, we want to be an explosive offense, but you can't force it during the entire game. Gotta know when to strike and strike hard. The players seem to be poorly disciplined. We're up 20 with 2 minutes left in the game and Baker is passing the ball? Why? He got sacked and could've easily gotten hurt on that.

Freddie has to grow as a coach but I'm not as confident in him as I am with Baker. I think I saw some progression this game vs. game 1 but still a ton of questionable play-calling.

-Denzel Ward what's up bro? He has been awful these last 2 games. Getting beat in zone or m2m, missing tackles, etc... maybe he'll improve soon. We'll see.

I looked up the snap counts for last night's game. We are clearly just a 4-2-5 defense. We were in 4-2-5 for 100% of the game if my math is correct. Mack Wilson did get in some reps but it was a sub for Kirksey. There was no 3 Linebackers sets.

The break down for 3 safeties vs 3 corners the week was 45% to 55% so at least Wilks didn't lean on the safeties as much and let the stronger group get the majority of the work load.

As for the D-line, they went to more of a 7 man rotation and didn't lean so hard on our 4 starters. Vernon and Garrett played 72% and 69% of the snaps while they played 92% and 90% in week one. Ekuale got playing time while Chris Smith and Chad Thomas got a uptick in snaps. It seems like all 4 D-line starters got around a 20% reduction in snaps.

On offense the only big thing I noticed was Demetrius Harris got 78% of the snaps. I know it's because Njoku got hurt but I would think we could have a better receiving threat than Harris is. I'm still disappointed Dorsey let Devalve go.

A vet HC and keeping Freddie at OC..... could’ve done wonders.

I still think McCarthy is a good HC even if others disagree.

Possibly so. Freddie has not looked good.

But I'd pump the brakes on wishing we went another way. Freddie is a rookie HC and could improve as the season wears on. We can't properly evaluate the decision just 2 games in.

I'm sure its a fully supported and complete thought.

No snaps for Devaroe Lawrence, who was a a best in the preseason, throughout the first 2 weeks is surprising to me.
