Yeah, i was trying to be funny, but knew it would get something started. lolThe rare admission of trolling.

With that said, I know the Tribe won’t do a damn thing to try to actually improve the team. All we will hear about is trading our top 10 player in all of baseball, which WONT improve our team.
We get a year or two every decade, on to the next decade I guess.
I try, I support my team. Go to a couple games when I can (4 hours away) and buy shirts/hats, whatever.Do better.

The Indians should try harder.
To be honest I understand what you are saying but it feels like if Cleveland stayed in the 150 range they would normally be a contender in the AL, but logic says the 100-120 range at max is going to be their regular number. Now I think the team could operate at 150 and still at least break even but most people aren’t willing to run a business at the break even mark so they wouldn’t be losing millions.
Getting a new TV wouldn’t be hard, they are a very well rated TV core (so may as well keep the same crew in place in a sense) so they can get some extra income that way. It’s the fact they are in a colder area when it comes to baseball (less ticket sales early season) plus even having a good team for awhile the ticket sales aren’t going so well. They somehow have to figure out how to get up ticket sales without losing profit. I feel honestly if they can get sell outs on most nights plus a new tv deal they could make that difference needed to keep together a pretty good team for awhile.
Lindor shouldn't. He will hit free agency at the right time: 28 years old as one of the best players in the game. He will command a salary and contract that will rival the biggest in the game. His agent has advised him well not to sign a contract with Cleveland that will eat up even 1 year of his free agency. That extra one year could cost him $15 million alone. For example:
Instead of paying him $30M over 10 years, pay him $25/year over 10 with $50M deferred over the next X number of years.
Allows them to spread out the payments, similar to the Mets Bobby Bonilla deal that they're still paying for.
It's not something this organization is ever going to do, quite frankly. Most especially with question marks surrounding the ownership and a potential change. Also something that Francisco Lindor has no interest in, because he doesn't seem to have any interest in playing for this team long term.
Wonder if the Pirates would be interested in dealing Adam Frazier.
Indians get:
Frazier
Pirates get:
Eric Haase
Adam Scott
League average hitter, plus defense at 2B. Platoon possibility with Chang.
next time you talk to Frankie ask him what he has against cleveland.
that said lindor on this franchise locked in for 10 years is a selling point, regardless of how the money is spread

“I don’t think it should be seven years of team control,” said Lindor, who was one of those who had his service time as a rookie manipulated. “Four of those years, you’re getting the league minimum. If you don’t want guys to play until they’re 37, 38 or 39, then you’ve got to do something on the front end. That’s something that all the players, the players association, we’re working on it and something we’re looking forward to discuss.”
“They’ve got to be more aggressive,” Lindor said. “Everyone says windows close. Well, instead of it having seven years to close, now you only have four or five or whatever. You’ll have to be more aggressive. The league, I think, will be in a much better spot being more competitive every single year.”
