Wtf is this Kevin...
He did it to allay suspicions.
Wennberg can get very jealous.

Love isn’t setting a constructive tone for this young team. Moping, chucking, egregiously coasting.
I get it but let’s not pretend that there’s more than four teams in the league able to win this thing unless some injuries shake out a la GSW. He can still push himself to compete hard every night they play. He’s leaving a lot on the floor.I don't disagree but it is hard for any Vet who still wants to compete at the top level to effectively babysit a group of idiots, when winning is really not the main purpose.

Don’t need him to injure himself more in a winnable game. We’ll need him for the playoffs so this is smart move to rest him.......Kevin Love (right hip contusion) will not play Saturday vs. the Wolves.
Love had played in each of the Cav's last ten games, and was impressive on Friday, scoring 30 points to go along with seven rebounds, four assists and a season-high six 3-pointers in 35 minutes. However, he apparently injured his hip in the contest. Love has missed games earlier this season due to a back issue, but this is the first time he's popped up the injury report with a hip ailment since 2017. Larry Nance will likely slide into the starting lineup on Saturday. Kevin Porter, John Henson, Alfonzo McKinnie will divvy up extra minutes off the bench.
I don't, how a player that knew the organization was rebuilding yet signed a four year extension and then mope around like a kid. He could have easily turned down the extension and became a free agent this past offseason.
Read a tweet on hoopshype saying he was fine and was setting out because of back to back games. sorry had problems copying it.
Anyhow first thought was may be a trade is close to done.
I was looking at The Athletic's power rankings and the Cavs' record against the top 15 teams.
Against teams ranked 1-4 the Cavs are 0-8 (Bucks, Celtics, Mavs).
Against teams ranked 1-10 the Cavs are 0-14.
Against teams ranked 1-15 the Cavs are 2-16.
Against teams ranked 16-30 the Cavs are 8-6.
Which tells me they're average. Against teams ranked in the middle third (11-20) the Cavs are 4-4. We talk like they're a bottom feeder but that's not the case based on their results over 32 games.
I'm wondering if they might fall out of the top 10 of the draft if their young players improve (which they should) and they play more mediocre and bad teams (which they will).
Of the 50 remaining games 14 are against teams currently ranked in the top 10 while 36 games are against teams ranked 11-30, who the Cavs are 10-8 against. If the Cavs go 0-14 against the top 10 teams and 20-16 against the rest (IOW, same as they've done so far), they'll end up with 30 wins, a .366 winning percentage.
At this point in the season a team with a .366 winning percentage would have the 10th worst record.
Of course the wild card is whether they trade Thompson or Love, or both. A Henson trade might also be a factor.
I know this was off topic but there's no thread for general comments on the season.

I'm not seeing the math as saying "average". By your numbers, the Cavs would end the season having gone 23-18 against teams in the bottom half of the league, and 5-36 against the top half. That's going 28-54. How is that "average?" 28 wins last year meant you had the 5th worst record in the league.
