Had dinner there last night, and it was wonderful (as usual). Ricotta-stuffed mushrooms to start, bone broth soup, lamb for the main course, and flourless chocolate cake as the closer. Glad to see somebody else has found their way out to Strasvegas (I will steal your nickname) to enjoy a meal there.
They definitely don't compete with the Lent fish fries, but for an all-year-round option, Gasoline Alley in Bath is pretty legit. Two huge pieces of fish, a shit ton of fries, only 10 bucks. With Fish Fry season upon us, I was wondering if posters here had any standouts they really enjoy around the area (restaurants or non-profits).
My wife and I have made a yearly tradition of taking my father-in-law out for Fish Fry and two that we always make a stop at are Prosperity Social Club and Sokolowski's. Those have become the favorite of our group.
I haven’t been to OCG, but the plan was always for concepts to last one year and then turn over to another operator. Tinman is no longer located there. They’ve now got two concepts from the guys at The Plum and Good Company (pizza at one stall, grain and greens bowls at the other).Tinman in the Ohio City Galley had a really nice looking offering last year. I think they may have shut down at the end of the year though. I haven't been in awhile to see what places are currently running.

And yeah, that fish fry look delicious.
According to Cleveland Scene, you’ll be able to get their food at BottleHouse in Lakewood starting this March or April.Tinman was my favorite. Their tin man burger was super good. They had really good yellow yukon potatoes that they'd smash and then throw in the fryer.
Get to Il Rione. To me, it’s the best pizza in Northeast Ohio. My wife and I dined there a few months ago and had a white pie with speck, chopped pistachios, hot honey and lemon ricotta. It was fantastic. Their diavolo pizza is also really good.Speaking of pizza- and I know there is a post in this section already somewhere- what are people's favorite pizza in the Cleveland area?
Angelo's has the best "thicker" style pizza, in my opinion. Really been meaning to try Il Rione but haven't gotten around to it. For thin crust, I've had both really good and mediocre pizza from Pizza 216 next to Marbleroom. Only had Pizza Whirl once but really enjoyed it. Not a big fan of Crust. Map Room makes a surprisingly decent pie, a bit greasy though. Saucy is my most frequented place, although not my favorite
Also, last year, I went to the Medina County Pizza Festival and had a chance to try Ohio Pie Company (based in Brunswick). Their pizza is almost a round, Detroit style pie. It’s got a thick, pan depth crust but they put their sauce on top of the cheese and other toppings and finish it with garlic oil. Then they square cut it. I found that to be a tasty pizza as well.
No problem. This won't be an issue for you being so close, but keep in mind that they don't deliver. Dine in or carryout only. Thanks for the reco. I live maybe five minutes from there, but have yet to try it. I think they've been open maybe a year, so definitely have to give them a shot.
