New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I’m not sure why I didn’t start Better Call Saul before. This show is excellent.

In the early seasons, I found Jimmy/Saul's storyline to be disinteresting a lot of the time. His relationship with his brother is just a bit disheartening or depressing. Anything involving Mike and the Cartel has always been very captivating. This past season and the season before were nothing short of excellent. Gilligan painting 100 on the corners every episode.

I agree. First couple seasons felt boring at times, but it's really picked up.

Kind of similar to....Breaking Bad.

Has anyone watched any of the variations on Wallander?

It is a sort of Nordic Noir detective series based on some well regarded novels.

Clone Wars finale was the best thing Star Wars related over the past five years, aside from Rogue One.

What a way to end a series.

Looking forward to the Ashoka series.

You have to pay for that, right? Unless you get the free 7 day Brit pass and binge it?

Yeah, I bought the BBC first season, and the 1st season of the Swedish.

And, I might add, the BBC version and the Swedish versions are very different and both good.

And they don't share the same stories.

So, a double dose.

What you gotta do once you are done with this show is watch it again - u realize that there are many other comedy elements in there that u miss on first viewing.

I had to rewind a recent episode because I didn't see Tobias hiding in front of blue things while spying on Lindsay.

I must wait for season 5 of Better Call Saul to come to Netflix; there are few worse feelings than this.

I have to wait one day before a good streaming version comes out and I think that's a long time. You poor thing.

Also, Billions season premiere was last night. Good to have it back!

Did you watch the Mandalorian?

I did, I should have included it.

But, wow, that TCW final episode was amazing.

The time flew by and it was very poignant. I mean we know what happens, but it still did a great job of building tension.

That last shot of Ashoka looking over the graves of all those Clone Troopers she's led, the characters we've followed, who died because that stupid inhibiter chip made them choose Order 66 over their own lives. Epically tragic.

And then Vader arriving to search for Ashoka's remains (but seeing Morai the convor tells him she still lives) and his reflection in the Clone Trooper helmet as the episode fades to black. A reminder that all the loss and death, despite the best efforts of so many, was foreordained and inevitable as Sidious used everyone, from the buck private trooper to the Chosen One, as puppets in his twisted game. And that in the end, they would live or die at his pleasure.

Perfect.

Can't wait for the Ashoka live-action series.
