Need someone to stretch the field. Basically, we need a Brashad Perriman-type.

We need more than that. We're a Jarvis Landry injury away from being the worst WR core in the league and Landry is playing hurt right now.

I understand people being optimistic about Baker not needing OBJ but to think that we're just gonna roll with this corps is crazy. Wait until teams start zeroing in on Jarvis and making Higgins and DPJ beat us.

I guess Hooper, Njoku, Bryant and Hunt all quit the team?

John Ross III is an actual realistic target. You just have to worry about his hands, durability, and the fact he kinda sucks. Cincy could certainly use the draft pick though.

Would rather sign literally anyone off the street.

Hooper hasn't done much all year and he missed the last game. Njoku has been injured and has requested a trade, Bryant is still a rookie. It's perfectly fine to question if we need an upgrade in the passing game with OBJ out.

Before yesterday how confident were you with our pass catchers?

I'm seeing a lot of "blessing in disguise" type posts, and I can't understand that at all. There is no blessing for the team to have it's most talented offensive player hurt. No addition by subtraction. This is just subtraction by subtraction.

I think Chubb is our most talented offensive player. At his pace (assuming full health), he'll be a legendary RB.

Well Chubb is hurt and when he comes back he'll be coming off of an injury. Who do you think opposing teams are scheming against every week? It was OBJ. I don't think teams were scheming against Chubb. They schemed against OBJ though. There's nobody on offense that defenses are going to fear now with OBJ gone. That's going to make it harder on the other guys.

The Browns have the top or close to the top rushing attack in football. To claim teams aren't scheming against it is asinine.

Suggested this in the Trade Deadline thread. He's not exciting by any means...but to be fair, these were the exact same sentiments about Breshad Perriman when we brought him in.

There's something to be said for having a high-end speed guy to stretch the back end of the defense and open up the middle of the field. It worked for Baker nicely in the past and would be a dirt cheap experiment.

Think more like how The Patriots attack opposing teams. BB takes your top receiving threat away and he'll force you to beat him other ways. I don't think teams have been stacking the box against us. I think they throw a lot of zone coverages and shit at Baker to confuse him more than they zero in on Chubb.

Now don't get it twisted. Teams absolutely respect Nick Chubb and Hunt. I just think that the approach this season is teams have been more focused on Baker's ineffectiveness in the passing game.
