2020 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I know he's playing RT and the Browns need a LT, but after hours of repeatedly watching YouTube cuts, I am starting to think Jedrick Wills has the consistently best tape of the top five guys.

If Stefanski and Callahan are convinced he can make the transition over to the left side without much issue...

Wills is the intriguing one to me. Part of me thinks that if he had played LT at the same caliber that he played RT this past year, he'd be the no questions asked unanimous OT1 on all boards. I like his tape the best of the three. He looked, to my untrained eye, to have the most consistent fundamentals and technique. Obviously there's a huge level of unknown about his ability to transition to the left side that really isn't there for Wirfs and Thomas, so I don't know if that's a gamble the Browns are willing to take or not. If you draft him and he can't handle it, then you'd really be in a tough spot.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Man, some teams got wild. Raiders went and lost their minds while Seattle drafted a pretty dime a dozen linebacker.
And the Ravens picked up LB Patrick Queen, who is going to be a beast. Dammit.

How are you shocked that the raiders over drafted the fastest player at the combine?

The ghost of Al Davis lives on.

Im not; not because they’re the Raiders, but because they did that with Gruden there too the first time.

I know we have yet to see Delpit yet...

But it looks like TB crushed us in the draft by landing Wirfs and then Winfield Jr.

Wills was always projected to be ableto play the left side. Wirfs wasn't.

"I feel most comfortable at right tackle, but I've played both," Wirfs told 850 ESPN Cleveland earlier this week, (H/T Pro Football Talk). "It doesn't really matter to me. Coach Ferentz, he always says he doesn't see a big difference between right and left. He says tackles are at a premium. People are always looking for tackles. I'll play wherever the team wants me to. I'll play safety if they need me to."

"When I first started flipping back and forth, I think I was trying to look for a big difference," Wirfs said. "Honestly, the only thing different is you got your other hand down. It just feels awkward at first but once you settle in it feels fine. . . . It kinda feels like wiping your butt with your other hand. It just feels a little awkward at first, but you get used to it."

Straight from the horses mouth.

Jedrick Wills has outplayed Tristan Wirfs this year, regardless of side. Khalil Mack just absolutely exposed Wirfs.

If you wanna argue for Winfield over Deplit, go for it. But it's gonna take a few years of playing time to separate them, and you'll want to throw Ashtyn Davis into that conversation as well.

Just remember that this year's draft was fucky due to COVID and medicals. If teams can examine and clear Davis, he likely goes within the first 40 picks.

Guys come on. It’s not rocket surgery to switch sides as a tackle. A guy “isn’t a left tackle” if he’s probably just not good enough to be playing either tackle spot, but due to lack of resources he gets the nod on the non-blind side that gets The worse edge most of the times

the ability to switch sides on the line is one of the most consistently overrated things
