Jaylen Brown shot 29% from 3 pt and 65% from FT line. I posted this previously awhile back but this is a good comparison. Can someone tell me the last lottery guard who shot sub 30% from 3 and sub 70% from the line who panned out?

Jaylen Brown is a great comparison for Okuro. Much more realistic than Kawhi or Butler which is best case scenario type of stuff. Cavs considered Avidja seriously but I think they made the right pick. Okuro will be a franchise cornerstone I believe and will be a guy who lives up to his draft position as he works on that shot.
Feels great to finally not have a top 10 pick who will be considered undersized or athletically inferior in any way. Kid will be ready to go out there and learn the NBA the hard way against some grown men like Jimmy and Kawhi themselves and will be all the better for it. Makes the Porter Jr situation easier to swallow. Also don't think for a second that the Porter situation didn't influence this decision.
Already a bust. Eh. Horrible pickEh we'll see if he's undersized when he's on the court. I mean for a team that's playing a backcourt that has two 6'1 guards I would've liked a wing player that's a bit bigger than 6'6.
Jaylen Brown is the absolute best case scenario for him to turn into...
he’s more likely Kidd Gilchrist or Stanley Johnson
I'm pulling for him and I'll probably eventually get on board with the pick but it just feels like he's going to be closer to the Stanley Johnson's than the Jaylen Brown's of the world.
He is so similar to Jaylon Brown, i am so surprised you cant see it
He's thicker than Jaylen Brown. Probably stronger too. Brown is more crafty with the ball, better shooter, and has a more smooth game.
I love Jaylen Brown btw.
We have to build a culture and a team, beyond just adding a lot more talent. I really believe in this front office and the coaching staff. We are putting together a team based on culture and character. - Dan Gilbert, 5/22/19
We’re trying to build this thing with great attitude, great work ethic and guys who really want to be in Cleveland. - Koby Altman, 11/4/19
There is an energy that’s building and you don’t want to be the one guy that’s not participating in it. You see the leadership, you see the young guys, they are pushing one another, they are holding each other accountable, they are having real conversations to fix problems. The environment and culture we are creating is growing and that’s going to be the foundation of it. It’s a bunch of guys who play hard but play well together also. - JBB, 2/27/20
You look at the teams that have success now, they put guys on the floor who are capable of doing it on both ends of the floor...You establish a culture of two-way guys and it makes you a better team. - JBB
The source said the team will be looking for “defensive-minded players” while also looking to add “length and athleticism.” - Spencer Davies, BasketballNews.com 9/23/20
I disagree [that this is a weak draft]. I think we are going to get a good player. I think there are a lot of guys with talent, with a great foundation, and then it’s a matter of what we do with them, right? Our player development group is second to none. We have guys that can make players of all sizes, skill sets, positions, better. - JBB
Hate it now, love it later. All of that good character and good culture won't mean shit if we're still losing games for the sake of player development.
