Andy Reid outcoached Stefanski, which is to be expected.

Their offense was in a different league compared to our defense, which is to be expected.

That fumble at the end zone.. not to be expected and total heartbreaker.

But that’s said.... Im proud of the team and the season. They hung in there and gave the Chiefs all they could handle in their house. Address the defense and get ready to be back next year, because for once the sky is the limit for the Cleveland Browns!

I love this team. Amazing season boys and even when I argue with you I still love being a browns fan w all of you.

But cut me some slack with the number of beers I had and my immediate post game reactions in this thread.

Frustrating loss. I may have taken it too far.

Just hurts to be so close.

The offensive line was getting dominated on that drive too. They were targeting Hance and Baker was under duress every time he took a snap, and they started guarding the screen too. It’s a tough call. Obviously, in hindsight, not getting the ball back you wish they would’ve went. But the real sin is the defense inability to force a 3 and out against Chad Henne and Daryl Williams.

I appreciate all the “good season” “building block” comments but the reality is Mahomes isn’t going away. The AFC in general is only going to get tougher. Nothing is guaranteed. You had them on the ropes with Mahomes out of the game (when is that going to happen again). This was one they should’ve stolen and then would’ve only been one win away against the Bills from being in the Super Bowl. It hurts. Bad.

But what’s the big deal if we don’t? So they kick a field goal (remember we had to stop them anyway with our choice) and it’s an 8 point game?

And their kicker missed 2 bunnies

Nothing but love and next year lets get drunk together during the Super Bowl when the Browns make it.

Well who says they kick a FG? It's the same position, only the Browns would have had even further to drive if Reid doesn't get the 4th down.

If it's 4th and two inches I think Reid's still going for it even if he's in FG range.

If we stop them it’s an 8 point game. If we aren’t confident we can stop them why would punt as an alternative ?

I'll never cheer for an injury, or celebrate one.. but it is part of the game unfortunately. So with that being said, the fact Mahomes went out and we couldn't capitalize hurts the most. I'd probably feel better if he stayed in and did his thing and whooped up on us. God forbid the way the defense play it likely happens.

So having an opportunity like that and not taking advantage just plain sucks. You need breaks in the NFL, its just the nature of the game. Brees might have 2 or 3 SB's if it weren't for bad ones. On the other side Brady has an extra ring from Seattle's gaffe. Football is full of good and bad breaks. We had a horrible break with Higgins, then got a gift with Mahomes. Couldn't finish.

I know in theory the playoff experience helps. But I'm not for moral victories, and I'm sure the players aren't either. Yes, we'll come back hungrier. But with the AFC going through Mahomes, who knows when (or.. if ever) we'll have an opportunity like we had today. There's no sugar coating it... this sucked. This was a chance and we didn't finish.

Sure but I’ll trade the field position for the 15-20% chance we pick up the 4th and 9

But really the timeout was just brutal if all our eggs weren’t in that drives basket
