2021 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Vernon was a down end for the Dolphins, wasn't he?

Either way, I don't think it matters much to them. If they feel they can teach them edge setting techniques, they won't care too much about size.

For instance, the Browns have been all over Takk Mckinley for over a year and he is listed at 230.

And Andrew Berry has also been chasing Malik Jackson for three years, and Jackson is the exact opposite body type. I don't think they are locked in exclusively to a smaller rush end opposite Myles. They seem to accept the likelihood that it's going to be a platoon.

I think it is highly unlikely Paye is there at 26 same thing with Phillips who I like more sans injury history. But they are definitely both on the radar if they don't sign JC. I think it is far more probable they sign JC and the decision instead is to take a versatile early help LB like Davis or Collins with a slim chance another position takes precedence

I'll bet you whatever you'd like that we don't draft Jamin Davis in the first round.

I don't think free agency is going to influence our first draft selection.

I agree with what I *think* you're saying (Clowney signing won't keep the Browns from drafting a DE with their first pick, if Berry wants to). But i think free agency has been *exactly* the influence that will allow them to take any player they want at that pick.

Oh please. If Jaycee Horn doesn’t go in the first, someone will get fired.

If folks wanna pass on Jaycee Horn *I* will go downtown and put in the card for him at #26 (in case Berry hesitates). I dont care if Horn is CB1 in the draft, or the NFL. Him as CB1b/CB2 on the Browns makes me giddy to think about. A defensive backfield of Ward, Johnson, Delpit, Harrison, Horn, Hill and Greedy is deep and versatile.

Right.

What an insane take. Wasn’t he nearly a 10 RAS? Just get the fuck out of here. It would literally take a gas mask bong to push him to the second.
I think he's solidly a first round pick in this draft, just not as fervently as you do.

It wouldn't shock me if he's the fourth CB off the board, just as it wouldn't shock me if he's the first one off the board.

RAS is just a single point of data in the grand scheme of things. Some organizations don't value athleticism that highly.

And I can totally buy that! But Farley, Surtain, Newsome and Horn will certainly go in round 1.

It’s been mocked that way across the board for about a month and a half now. Just an insane take.

Have to think with the Clowney signing - getting one of Surtain/Farley/Horn or Newsome is now the ideal 1st round scenario
Would really even be open to a slight trade up

If we lose Richardson, 2nd/3rd round should have a bunch of DTs for us to consider: Alim McNiell, Nixon, Milton Williams, Owuzirikie, Togiai etc

I have no problem with someone giving their opinion of scouting a guy. It's refreshing to hear rather than straight chalk.

I guarantee you there are teams in the league who don't have Horn graded as a first-rounder.

I'm the last one to defend PFF, but there's also a difference between Sam talking about his uncertainty relating to a player's grade, and the likelihood that player gets drafted in the first 32 picks.

I don't think Clowney changes our first round pick at all.

We take the best player available. If it's an edge guy, awesome. We don't have anyone signed long-term besides Myles. If it's a corner or something else, awesome. They can compete with the depth that's already there.

I think it would be insane if we cut Sheldon Richardson. The Clowney contract should just be fit under the cap with some mild restructuring.
