Surprised by how violent this show is?? Just not used to it from the other shows and movies with these characters.

I thought the same, then I rewatched Winter Soldier. Captain America kills like ten dudes in the opening scene.

That was intense.

Zemo reminds me of Garak from DS9.

So people are calling that “the darkest moment in the mcu”.

I don’t disagree that it was dark, but I think that time have all sentient life dissolved was a bit darker.

It was definitely more graphic than the snap, but on the whole yes obviously half of all life in the universe being destroyed in the same instant is darker.

Also, the event where Zemo's family was killed was certainly darker.

And the invasion of New York where presumably thousands were killed.

Big green Hulk butt in Ragnorak was pretty intense too

So nandovmovies has an interesting video out that basically attempts to explain why some of the story doent quite fit as well as normal marvel stuff does. Essentially marvel wrote a storyline about a pandemic that has been edited out with ADR. It does explain a lot of my issues with the framing of the flagsmashers and the apparent urgency that is not quite felt.

I understand that we have to assume the laws of physics don't really apply in the MCU. And they usually are pretty consistent-ish. Even "normal" people have physical abilities beyond the real world.

But when non-serum John Walker hit Zemo square in the head with the shield.....that had to kill Zemo, right? Like split his head right open?

Unless Zemo also took the serum?

Oh yeah, he should be deadsville.

That was my first thought.

Then when he was icing his head, he barely had a scrape. That also made me go hmmm.

Marvel dropped this trailer today that includes a bit of new footage to tease the last two episodes.

I also like that Zemo is a man of principles. He could have easily taken the super soldier serum for himself, but instead he immediately stomped on all the samples. Well, all but the one that rolled away that new Cap found.

I don't consider Zemo to be evil, by the way. He has a legitimate reason for doing what he's doing.
If I was bottling up super soldier serum, I can guarantee you I would place it in un-stompable vials. No doubt Zemo was a passionate stomper, but...

I ended up rewatching WInter Soldier, Civil War, and then Infinity War because it was so long ago and I feel like I forgot a lot.
I have to say what a great trio of movies: very very well done and it's a bit amazing how much plot got put into Infinity War. They also used the relatively subpar Age of Ultron to set them up.

Anyways Gamora getting killedby Thanos is pretty damn dark on rewatch. I will not let go of my destiny and then throws someone who looks like a child next to him over a cliff.
