If we have interest in bring in Oubre that could make sense in a sign and trade if Oubre has interest in coming to the Cavs.

always seems like his head is detached from his body so to speak but he is a good defender is he not? Nance for s/t Oubre and 14 doesn't seem terrible if its a 1+1

The league somehow has a fascination with him too though. I don't see him as a long term solution at SF but he is someone that we won't have a hard time trading on to another team. If the goal is to find a good vet wing, sign and trade for Oubre might help to net us one.

Because he's pretty. That's literally it. The NBA and media surrounding it just want him to be a star so badly.

I would have thought so or at least he’d been more competitive but apparently it was like a father playing w a child.

okoro absolutely overwhelmed him in every way. Then the open gym stuff went badly. The shot is very very broken.

I had high hope for kuminga during the season but he’s shockingly raw. He was sold as a little more nba ready.

You said at one point that Demar DeRozan isn't explosive and compared Cade Cunningham's athleticism to his, and now you say Oubre is a more athletic JR? In his younger days, JR was easily one of the most athletic dudes in the league. Plus, Oubre is a career 32.6% 3 point shooter (career high season around 35%), while JR was a career 37+% 3 point shooter with multiple seasons shooting over 39%.

Don't mean to call you out, and I have nothing against player comparisons, but these comparisons are just not helpful.

The fact that he give so many specifics is....suspect to me to say the least. And he makes different very specific detailed rumor posts multiple times a day. So we're supposed to believe, that Evan Dammarell, has that level of sources within the Cavs and/or multiple other organizations, above any other local Cavs writer, any national writer, Ben and his sources, etc.

It's not hard to see that he's just trying to stir up engagement on Twitter and gain followers, in hopes of getting picked up by a larger site that may pay him.

I'm going to need to see him get at least a few stories, transactions, trades, etc right before taking anything he says seriously and engaging about anything he says seriously in conversation here.

evan has one kinda solid team source. He’s trying to make this his full time job now, so hes gone the sensational route. Thing is , I hear some of the same stuff he does but he certainly embellishes.

Personally think you are just trolling because if you actually knew what you were talking about you would know that Kuminga is coming off a knee injury that ended his season is not 100% etc. Any amount of scrutiny about him athletically is meaningless. hell the biggest sell on him as a nba rookie is his elite nba ready body and explosiveness. Most others are ranked that high based on actual basketball skills

heres the situation. caa wants a max extension for Collin. They’re pointing to deaaron fox and Murray basically saying Sexton is that level of young prospec.

cavs like Collin but don’t believe he’s max. So now caa is trying to find a team who would max him. Miami and nyc are the two that are most willing. Cavs don’t like the package Miami or nyc have put together…no interest in Herro or toppin

so caa is keeping the trade stuff in the media , leaking that talks are getting heated to draw other teams in.

in reality cavs have received a few bad offers and probably stand pat until draft. Good news is no one feels rushed or pressured and Cavs are perfectly content running it back w him this szn

We can all look back at what players WERE! In Cleveland JR was a streaky non athletic shooter who if he wasn’t hitting his threes was busy making boneheaded turnovers and fouls! And again anybody that’s athletic can be explosive on a fast break but back in the day Rosen was not blowing by people off the dribble. But then again we might have different opinions about what “explosiveness” is!
