2021 Draft Lottery

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I promise I'm not questioning your information...I am questioning why Evan is your choice of cosigner, though...

he has at least one legit Cavs source

he isn’t state media like Fedor. Chris gets the most access by far because he will write exactly what the Cavs ask him to. It’s the role Sam The Bullshit Whisperer inhabited when the Grant regime was in power.

A few things: (1) Oubre sucks. (2) You can't combine a S&T with a draft pick as FA happens after the draft. (3) If you get cute and GS drafts for you before F.A., get ready for a tampering investigation. (4) He's not going to agree to sign for a number you're going to want to pay him before FA even begins.

Jr also played good D on "the block" forcing Iggy to change his shot so he had to adjust and allowed lebron time to block him

heres the situation. caa wants a max extension for Collin. They’re pointing to deaaron fox and Murray basically saying Sexton is that level of young prospec.

cavs like Collin but don’t believe he’s max. So now caa is trying to find a team who would max him. Miami and nyc are the two that are most willing. Cavs don’t like the package Miami or nyc have put together…no interest in Herro or toppin

so caa is keeping the trade stuff in the media , leaking that talks are getting heated to draw other teams in.

in reality cavs have received a few bad offers and probably stand pat until draft. Good news is no one feels rushed or pressured and Cavs are perfectly content running it back w him this szn

This makes alot of sense. The Cavs don't need to pay Sexton right now but it's in the best interest of Sexton and his people to get him paid on an extension.

For the Cavs to pay him the max or anything more than a team friendly deal doesn't make sense because it limits their flexibility in the near future just in case a deal does come up.

The uncertainty with how the dynamics of the team changes with the #3 pick also has to pay into it. We don't have a winning formula yet so giving an extension to anyone doesn't really make sense especially when it will limit our trade options for 6 months.

I believe @RichieRichPaul 100% and that is still a valid point, lol.

Thank you for reading both parts of my point. I take people at their word until they give me a reason not to, so I have no reason to call, or even hint at, RichieRichPaul being a liar. Evan isn't exactly a proven entity, though. His tweets over the last couple weeks read more like someone from this group than someone in the know.

@RichieRichPaul

Here's my issue: do currently active players actually come in to the gym to help work out prospective draft choices? I've heard of potential draft picks going at each other, but never at a current player. Those guys are usually home, on vacation, etc., and it would just seem odd for a current NBA player to go that hard at a potential draft pick.

Even though Okoro isn't fully develop, it would seem odd to put a NBA player who is known for his good defense against guys who have yet to play a NBA minute. It would seem like this would screw up the evaluation process. They aren't going again like talent. How many prospects would be able to have a good workout against Okoro?

Yes closed door draft workouts do include current players quite often.

with lower ranked picks they’ll even bring em in together to go against each other.

Isaac and the boys have been in Cleveland a ton this summer. Which is awesome because guys have been following off szn plans. If nothing else koby has been good at drafting a bunch of high character workers. Sexton coming in too, even w trade rumors.

Yeah that certainly passes the sniff test. These agencies (Klutch, CAA, etc) hold too much power in the NBA. You also find former agents sprinkled into several NBA front offices incl NY, Detroit, LA, and Phoenix. I certainly don't blame the Cavs for not having any interest in Toppin or Herro at this point. There's no need for Obi if they draft Mobley. If all the rumors are correct about Herro he might be more interested in living his good life than playing basketball and is also in line for a contract extension next year along with Garland.

Actually he has been correct in the past, the name and avatar makes me remember him. I do think he might have a friend in the organization though. He doesnt come in here dropping the biggest hints, so its all realistic to me.

I have heard both, some current players will come in if available or working out already. Some live in Cleveland year round, and some like working out at the facility

I get that they may be there. It just seems odd to tell a vet "go after this guy as hard as you can defensively" in that kind of purely voluntary workout.

I question Evan, not Richie. That's why I'm (half-jokingly) questioning why Evan is his choice of cosigner. Would you pick someone with a worse credit score to cosign on a loan for you?
