He’s great off the bench. Comes in and gives a spark. Goes all out for the 18-22 minutes he’s out there.

Really need some shooting with the starting unit. Why isn't Wade getting any shots? Is that affecting Lauri at that position too?

Definitely affecting Lauri as he hasn’t scored the past few games.

Windler started out 1/3 and was generally looking like he normally looks - which is tentative and unengaged - then it looked like somebody shot him with a steroid dart because he went berserk for a minute. After that he player better. Maybe somebody made fun of his dance video and he took offense to that. Whatever it was, he needs to play with more energy and not chicken out on taking shots if somebody is closing on him.

Right now I am just glad he is not injured

I just wonder if there is a reason the SF isn't getting shots up? The bigs and guards are drawing sufficient attention

I am liking his minutes from the bench as of late. Both he and Cedi are being very productive. Praying this holds before going upward.

Lauri has been getting his shots up, he just isn't making them. Though it is very inconsistent. Over 12 attempts per game and over 6 3PT attempts per game.

His last four games were (shots attempted) 7, 14, 5, 19, lol.

He’s not hunting his shot at all. Because he’s a threat to shoot, defenses are playing him tight so he’s not getting easy spot ups. But he’s not moving enough off ball to get open and on the few occasions when he attacks he’s looking to pass instead of get his own shot. It’s working OK for now, as the other guys are scoring enough to win games, but eventually teams are going to start sinking off and make him prove that he can hurt them.

I don't think DW has been horrible, and he hasn't been great either. Just kind of wishy-washy, mediocre. I do like his basic competency and he is fundamentally sound. I still think he can be a solid rotation piece but he needs to be more aggressive when he does get minutes.

I think he’s finding his way. And the only way that happens in the league is by playing. You have to believe and have the confidence, but you’ve got to get the experience of being on the floor and playing against other NBA players and playing with your teammates so that they know where you’re going to be and what spots you like and all those things. So, the more and more he plays, the more comfortable he’ll get. - JBB

I say play the man.

I like that he's starting to look for opportunities to put the ball on the floor and attack the rim, even though he's still primarily and 3-and-D project. Once he gets into the paint he wants nothing to do with taking a shot at the rim most of the time and is looking to pass. The result is some turnovers because opponents know he doesn't have confidence in his ability to finish against bigs and they're expecting that pass to the corner.

He desparately needs to develop a floater he can use in that 5-12 foot zone, like Garland, or a pull-up jumper like Sexton. Once teams start respecting his 3-point shot they're be closing hard on it which gives him opportunities to pump fake and take it to the hole. He also needs to develop a layup that touches high on the glass and is difficult to block like Garland and Rubio use.

He's got a good floor game. He's often in the correct spot and knows how to move without the ball. He had a massive offensive rebound last night by simply being in the right place at the right time instinctively.

I can't fathom why Valentine plays ahead of him. Windler should be penciled in for 20 minutes a night at least.
