Game Thread | 2021-2022 Season | Game #24 | Jazz @ Cavs | Dec. 5, 2021 | 3:30 p.m.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
There is only so much you can do against a half-court defense with Gobert at the hoop. Just didn't have good spacing.
That guy been trashing JBB the whole game…..

This felt like a playoff game and we lost by 1 to a legit title contender. Team is a joy to watch and our upside is super exciting.
Right. Nobody goes 82-0.

HATE losing, but if you have to lose, this was as good a way as any. Had the ball with the game on the line, and just didn't quite deliver. It happens.

On to Milwaukee.

Sucks we lost but cmon this team showed up and gave everything!

Several times we could have been blown out but this Cavs team wasn’t having it and doesn’t seem to have any quit in them.

So much fun and felt like it was a playoff game there.

The 6'1 dude had no problem cooking all game.
Sure, but when everyone in the building knows you're the guy who's gonna take a looooong 3pt shot in the final seconds, the degree of difficulty is through the roof when youre that small and may have trouble even getting a clean shot off. You need to go almost near the logo to have enough space and that... is not ideal.

The initial play he had a lane and it was cut off. He lost his footing and that busted the play. That is one of the last things I'd complain about.

What good is a drive to the paint when you have a non shooter at the 5 and hes not setting a single screen outside of the key? Gobert would have sent Garlands shit to a different planet if he got to the rim. We saw it happen 5 times.

Wrong lineup.

Wrong play.

You bet your ass im complaining.

Garlands initial move was a move to absolutely nowhere.

They DIDNT EVEN SET HIM A SCREEN!!!

I think we kept that closer than we would if we played 10x? Garland was unconscious from deep.

Guys gave it their all. Game in and game out the Cavs compete with the best teams in the league. Night and day from past seasons. Obviously would've loved to win but can't be mad about a loss like this. This is a playoff team, no doubt about it.

Love this team - so many great pieces. Obviously a couple holes to fill but nothing too crazy.

Plays hard and doesn't give up - AND they have real talent.

Definitely beyond my expectations and a game like that, even if a loss, says to me that this team is ahead of schedule.

The only criticism I will give to JBB was he pulled Cedi out for that last few minutes of the 4th. The dude was playing so well.
Sure, but Cedi wasn't going to get the ball or the shot in the end. It was all Garland.

Really should have been a Jazz blow out. Lost by 1. Real chance to win this. Couldn't get past their bigs to tip it in. Would have liked to seen Cedi in that last line up after the timeout.

I won't entertain any talk of a major trade this season. Cavs need to take their lumps with this team. Maybe some end of the bench moves to sign James Ennis, that's it.

Biggest weakness the Cavs have is seen with this match up. Jazz have at least 4 guys that will hit open 3s reliably. Cavs don't. It becomes the Garland Show, with maybe a few guest stars.

Only thing I’ll say is that if the play is Darius iso, then you gotta at least try to take gobert out of the paint by putting love or osman in for Allen.
