Here’s an idea: talk shit in the locker room all you want, but maybe don’t bite the hand that feeds you? Stay off of social media.

Also, if someone wants to pay me $5m a year to bag groceries, they can do more than boo me.

So everyone else in the world can go online and complain about their jobs or the people who come into their jobs except athletes? Get the fuck out with that shit. Who cares what he says as long as he does his job on the field. Is he gonna block less because he doesn’t like the fans? (if that’s the case)

People who complain about their jobs on twitter typically don't have jobs for very long.

Bullshit. Unless it’s something racial or sexist or personal insult then no. But plenty of people complain about aspects of their jobs. We really going to go back to the shut up and dribble mindset?

This is the part he needs to be better at. I don’t care if he hates the fans.
Literally the only thing that matters. How many young athletes in the early 20s actually enjoy being in Cleveland? And then add to that the fans shit on them. I’m sure most would rather be elsewhere. As long as they preform that’s all that matters.

Didn't we literally just go through this with a player?

Plenty like it I’m sure, esp if they have kids. Not everyone is into partying or cares about the weather.

Most people who like places don’t say anything about it. People who are unhappy bitch.

So its already been stated, but generally if you go on social media and complain publicly about your job, chances are you are going to lose your job.

There were 3 pages of bitching about Mayfield's wife accidentally liking a post, and right now we have 3 to 5 posts about a PLAYER liking a post about hating the fans.

That said the most important thing is Wills isnt doing his job, and on a regular basis is allowing big hits to Baker

I don't want my employees going online and bitching about me/their jobs and think it's totally unprofessional. At the very least, it would result in some kind of meeting to tighten it up.

I get what point you're trying to make, but it is apples to oranges. Joe the insurance salesman can bitch about his job all he wants online - his 19 followers will just keep scrolling. But if his boss finds these posts, you know damn well they are going to have a conversation with Joe to either a. delete them, or b. fire him.

If you're a person of importance within a company/organization (professional athlete, coach, GM, CEO, etc) then you are going to have more eyes on you when it comes to social media. You don't have the luxury of hoping no one saw what you said and undoing it really quick. Could you imagine if the director of marketing or ticket sales for the Browns liked that same tweet. It wouldn't get as much attention, but you know fans would catch wind of it and call that person out. They would have to answer for it too. It is just not a good look all the way around, and you have to be aware of that when you are in the public eye or hold a higher up position.
