Well you said it and it was the only part of your post I took umbrage with. Everything else I agreed with, especially the part about DG being a superior leader. And I do agree that DG will grow to be a more complete, all-around player than KI, with overall superior intangibles and playmaking fundamentals. The outlandish hostility was an intended harkening back to the old days when we cut it up on here; we've always gotten along and I hope you're well!
It's amazing that you can actually quote my posts and come away believing that...in fact, I don't believe you actually think that was the point I was making. KI's "one shot" was just the capper on a legendary Finals performance that saw him dance on his MVP counterpart while putting up 27ppg on elite efficiency. I don't have to hypothesize about Kyrie's "ceiling raising" ability because I witnessed it firsthand, and we have a championship banner because of it. Very few players have ascended to that level...DG certainly hasn't.
I think that DG is off to an incandescent start and will, once again, usurp Kyrie as a more complete player, especially where being a PG is concerned. But "better PG" and "better ceiling raiser" are two different arguments. Notice that I said nothing about the other poster calling him a better floor raiser, because I believe he is.
