Rubio and Markannen aren’t simply replacement level players. And Sexton isn’t coming back. And the replacement PG brought in to help in Rubio“s absence has now missed three times a many games as he has played.

You're going to hard time finding a team that would not struggle to make up for the losses of players like that.

So what do you freaking expect?

At our worst, we’ll play like this and either lose to good teams or win over crappy teams like OKC

At our best, we”ll look really good and win a bunch of games.

But yeah, you don’t simply get to say “the team has regressed” without giving full acknowledgment of the losses, another one suffered mid game today.

Dunno, I think they are a really talented yet imperfect group. The wins they got are as a result of their own talent. They can mix and match much better and be so much better than they are, even without Rubio. I'm telling what i'm personally seeing. I think they are just unique and talented and can be in a better position to succeed in game.

I dunno how much coach JBB boosts their stats prior to the game with his awesome talks, but I know he can do much better in game.

Windler absolutely has to play more minutes, especially if Lauri is out for any extended period.

If you're not going to shoot hardly any 3s you're just guaranteeing a bunch of competitive games with crappy teams who can shoot even a little bit. These Okoro-Wade-Mobley-Allen lineups cannot happen. It's an abomination.

I’d like to see more Windler. The Cavs need shooting with Lauri potentially being out for a couple weeks.

Wade played great defense in his time in as well.

I don't think the team's regressed, I think it just shows you the value of having guys like Ricky Rubio and Collin Sexton on your team. The team is young, a lot of guys still very early in their development, I'm chalking this up to growing pains, team has been well ahead of schedule all season.

Also, the Thunder are not really that bad of a team, they have some decent talent and they're well coached. They play with an identity, they remind a bit of the Grizzlies. They don't have that level of talent yet, but they are building in a similar way, wouldn't surprise me if they all a sudden start winning games next season.

It’s a win. Not a pretty one but a win. I will gladly take it. Live to fight another day. Everything else is just noise.

It's why I think his 3 point shooting is probably a mirage and coming back down to earth.

Because he is not and never has been a good FT shooter. Going from mediocre to poor (like this year, where he's well below league average at 65%).

This is true but I have a different perspective - Rubio showed us how close we are. He showed us just how good we can be with just one more guy who is a good playmaker/defender in the back court. It should be possible to get that guy and replace Rubio - love Ricky but not like he was all-NBA.
