MLB Lock-Out is Finally Freakin’ Over

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Yeah, its really shocking that fellow players aren't taking less of a smaller pie to satisfy the owners who refuse to pay more.

Effectively, you're asking the players to keep the total compensation the same (where they earn less % of league revenues than NFL or NBA players), then split that lower percentage more amongst themselves than have MLB ownership (whose revenues have sharply risen) to not pay a dime more.

This logic of yours is so intensely broken, and I think its pretty well obvious to anyone that its not the players to divide a smaller pie amongst themselves.

Anyone buying this tripe doesn't belong in the conversation, much less throwing around condescending pot shots about a negotiation that they clearly don't seem to understand.
Imagine that, you're stating someone doesn't belong in the conversation because they disagree with you. "Less of a smaller pie"? For the love of baby Jesus how much do they need to make to play a sport? Funny thing is they can't get enough and they won't give a single fuck about the "little guy" unless they get what they want first. From there they don't want their money or the ability to get more touched, but they want the owners to show some grace. Your one sided approach is fucked and I knew how you felt about this long before your opinion was posted.

Stop referring to the NFL or the NBA until there is a cap in MLB. Otherwise you're talking out of your ass. Imagine the money available to the "less fortunate" if the spending at the top was curbed. Anyone buying your tripe is certainly not being objective and probably screaming "stick it to the man" with you as you are all cashing your checks from the man and raising your clinched fists.

Let everything go my good sir! We have baseball back and thats all we need right now! Get a drink and enjoy!

Generally, the Executive Board first votes on whether or not to recommend to the players that the deal be approved. But that isn't binding, and the players themselves can still vote differently from the recommendation.

If the "vibes" are correct, it may mean that the union leadership may be out of step with the wishes of the players.
Imagine that!

Imagine that!

I was kind of surprised to read how the voting worked, with each member of the Executive Board given a vote equal to that of an entire team. Really weird system.

There's no hard feelings to be honest. Like I said, AZ is entitled to his opinion and I totally support the freedom to express it. We should just be prepared for disagreement and the freedom to express that as well. It's all good. There are many things I agree with AZ on when it comes to baseball. Politics is an entirely different story.

Yeah that's a bit odd. Doesn't seem very democratic for a democratic process. Oh well! I don't give a shit because baseball is back!

OH trust me I get that since me and AZ_ don't see eye to eye at all, but now is the time to enjoy the moment and forget anything negative lol

Didn't address a single point I made, and that's wholly unsurprising...

At the end of the day, your lack of respect for players earning their fair market wage makes it obvious there is little point in conversing with you.

You can't get past the perceived excess of someone being paid to play a game, and demand they give at the expense of owners who are immensely more wealthy, intentionally damaging a game and its future because you clearly do not respect the game enough to invest in its future or the players who earn the least requesting a chance to earn more.

Stop saying buzzwords like "cap" when MLB players make a fraction of league revenues compared to NFL and NBA players.

Its not in the players best interest to take less of a reduced pie because you're beholden to billionaires instead, then talk down to others as though they're selfish. You look like an idiot...
