I‘m not sure we are a top 20 team in the league at this particular moment. Just holding on for dear life hoping the regular season ends. Defensively, it’s a mess on most nights. They are getting bullied for 40+ minutes and then trying to pull it out at the end. Offensively, it’s a sexy Garland box score, but a lot of standing around and watching overdribbling.

We are young, no doubt, but you don’t like seeing this kind of regression as the season goes along.

I think you could feel this coming prior to the trade deadline and they needed a couple of solid moves to give this team the pieces they needed to stay afloat in upper tier of the East. Unfortunately, they only landed Levert and he’s basically been a bust.

They will be 6th or 7th. If 7th I imagine they will lose the first game and then it’s a coin flip on the second. It’s a very real chance they miss the playoffs entirely. Which was almost statistically impossible in January.

Bro we are a young as team at this point it happens we will be a top 5 team sooner than later Only way this season becomes a disappointment for me is if we lose garland and Mobley for the year anything else this season has been a huge huge success
 
JBB's gonna hit us with another "just a great player beating us" type of post game I'm sure.

Like he did with Embiid and Trae.

And he can’t don every game, but give him 65 games a year and a good supporting cast, and he can still be the best player on the league
 
Osman was -27 in 18 mins. Love was -21 in 20. We got outscored by over a point per minute with each guy on the court tonight. LeBron's old teammates shit the bed the hardest. Just disgusting.

Part of why Stevens should have been on the bench and LeVert starting is because Stevens is going bring that energy and toughness every night. LeVert can play hard and still not be a guy who permeates energy around the court while hes on it. Stevens and Okoro should be separated often because of spacing and because of the energy thing. I dont know how JBB doesnt get it. Our 2nd unit comes in and the opposing energy guys and quick guards just decide its time for them to destroy us and it happens every night and JBB will go up to the podium and talk about junkyard doggedness and effort and it being a mans league and giving the youth excuse and blah blah blah. Nah dude, adjust. I have 0 faith in him as a quality defensive coach and I know hes a poor offensive coach with no creativity anywhere in his scheme or mind. So we have an all around piss poor coach who no longer can even get young guys to play hard consistently. That wore off after all of 55 games or so. Lol. So hes useless.

Dan will be pissed at Altman for recommending that extension so prematurely when he has to fire him next year and pay him for half a decade.

They were also on the court when we gave up the big lead. They were horrible tonight
 
If your defensive scheme relies in having two elite 7 footers on the court and playing a third 7 footer alongside them along with a plus defender at the 2... and if any of that is disturbed you turn into a perennial defensive joke that gets destroyed nightly by even bad teams, its gimmicky and bad and you obviously will never coach a truly elite unit.

I would honestly cut bait on Bickerstaff this summer but I know theres no way they can without a fucking mutiny so theyll have to wait until the inevitable painful underachievement/failure to do it.
 
lol the fakers came here and whipped our rear ends tonight. It happens. In another day we make them look like a pile of horse manure. Big games coming up. let's stay positive.

I don't think it's too late for him to change his approach/Cavs approach going into a game.

I'm hoping the assistants and JBB himself can be frank and assess the situation and change accordingly. They're going to have to in a playoff series so they may as well work on that now. I know they're missing a key cog in the defense in JA, but there's too much of the same stuff happening over and over again. Vets like Rondo may be able to chime in and get that process rolling.

Maybe this recent string of games will offer some humbling and be a positive experience going forward.

Doubling down wouldn't be preferable, that's for sure. Goodness.
