Game Thread | 2021-2022 Season | Game #74 | Bulls @ Cavs | March 26, 2022 | 8:00 p.m.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I dont know man, his average is still only 35min. Its just these close or must win situations, which this team has had alot because of injuries.
edit. Actually Garland has played only 9 games +40min this year and 7 of them have been since Allen injury. Its just the end of the season push.

He's averaging 39.6 minutes in the month of March. He's played the most minutes in the NBA this month.

I do know. He's worn down. And that's on the coach.

There's about a dozen "what-ifs" that would have won us this game. the bottom line is our go-to PLAYERS played like shit, and they didn't deserve to win this game. Not the coaching. The PLAYERS.

LOL.

The coaching consistently puts our "go to" players in position to fail. And when the go ahead and struggle, we can only blame them??????

Nah, that aint it. The coach is useless and continues to get embarrassed in so many facets every single game against half decent competition. The Nuggets win was a minor miracle.

Stevens played an awesome game overall. But he had a hard time stopping DRR (as most do), and he has had problems converting close to the rim, which is not who he is as a player. And he fumbled away WAY too many balls today, but he had a lot of company fumbling away balls. Our PLAYERS choked and they would have won if they knew how to keep their heads in the right place. They're too young to know how to have composure right now.

Lmao. This is really your take? Thats really your take after tonights game? Lmfao. LeVert is the only reason we had a god damned chance late.
LaVert shot 50% from the field tonight…..much better than our “all star PG”

Does the coach miss shots right at the rim? Does the coach fumble away half the passes that would end up in easy dunks? Does the coach sail passes 3 feet over people's heads? Does the coach shoot 40% from the field?

I dunno, you tell me, you're the expert.

So if DG plays 7-8 min less we win? Seems incredibly unlikely

I dunno.

I mean DeRozan is the best player on the court between the two teams most nights and Bill Donovan is the best coach on the court between the two teams most nights.

Dunno why it can't be both. Garland is slumping at the wrong time and our coach is ass.

JBB is running "his guys" to the ground, no doubt. The whole starting lineup (with the exception of the revolving-door 3 spot) has been logging crazy minutes for a while now. And it shows.

At the other end of the spetrum, people are in the doghouse or getting yanked and buried after 11 minutes. JBB only trusts like 6 dudes on the whole team.

What is the defense of JBB? He gets our guys to play hard? Is he coaching U10 basketball? Playing hard wont win you games in the NBA. You need strategy and adjustments.

They are absolutely crushing our spirit defensively.

When they're missing their zero/one pass 3s, it just becomes a freight train the other way.

Love especially. He's taking these 1 pass 3s from the top of the key when no one else is set or ready. And then, cause of where he's at, he's supposed to be the first guy back down the court.

So like, if he's just missing them? It's a fast break fest.

And osman is literally doing NOTHING you expect of an off the bench energy role player. Nothing. He can't and should not play anymore and the next time someone, even IBWT, complains about Osman not playing and how we need his shooting i'm gonna lose it :chuckle: :chuckle:

Hey, listen..

I advocate for Osman to be part of a bench unit with Love, Stevens, Goodwin and Moses Brown. An energy focused unit, where they jump passing lanes and get out in transition and play ball-handler-by-committee and Love and Cedi SPOT UP or Cedi RUNS off a SCREEN to shoot.

Whens the last time Cedi got to run off a pick and curl around it and shoot? He spent a year learning it from Korver and years perfecting his balance...I dont think hes even attempted a curl screen 3 since Rubio went down. Like I cant remember 1 from this calendar year even.

What I DIDNT advocate for....was him coming in for our STARTING POINT GUARD...5 mins and 25 seconds into the FIRST QUARTER....

I just want him in a clear, concise, 24 minute bench role like he was the first couple months of the season. Since Rubio went down, his role has changed entirely and everything he does on the floor has done a complete 180...

The front office really screwed the pooch mid year. JBB extension was asinine. He’s a bottom tier coach and they way overreacted to a really good couple of months. We came out like a sprinter running a marathon and then collapsed along side the road around the all star break and now everybody else is passing us by.

Levert has been disappointing. It wasn’t a horrible move, but in hindsight, we don’t make it. He doesn’t look like somebody we want to keep around at the price he will be looking at getting.

After the top 3, it looks like the rest of the roster can all be replaced. Marrk might be nice as a 7th man or so, but we have to find some legit NBA wings that have dimensions to their game. Good news is, we have the hard part of the build out of the way, but their needs to be quite a bit more roster construction and retooling before we are making any noise in the playoffs.

I hater our player rotations and our lack of an offensive system.

BUT... tonight the plays were there to be made. The Bulls players made them. Our players didn't. That over-rides the coaching. This was winnable, and our players did not perform the way they are capable of performing. Period.

Stevens brings energy. But those shots he misses close to the rim are shots that Allen makes.
