I proudly hate James Harden

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
As much as I hate him, forever grateful he forced himself out of Houston, so the Nets could ruin their team just for him to force himself out of Brooklyn one year later. Absolute boss move

I feel like there's a sea change taking place.

We're seeing the last vestiges of the Selfish Superstar era slowly fade into irrelevance. The disgruntled, trade-forcing, coach-killing, superteam-forming dudes are still owed a lot of money around the league, but they don't fit anywhere anymore and they can't do what they once could. They're becoming the elephant in the room.

Harden, Durant, Irving, Westbrook, PG, AD, Kawhi, Bron, even Jimmy Butler... they're all heading into the sunset on their banana boat. Good riddance.

In the words of Larry David, “We’ll see.” Many of the guys you named didn’t really fully gain that reputation until they were 4-6 years or more into their careers. I’d say wait until some of this current generations stars start signing their max deals. That’s when the individual players gain a ton of power and generally when most of the guys mentioned started heading in that direction.

It will be interesting to see what guys like Luka, Jokic, Embiid, Tatum, Brown, etc are saying 1-2 years from now if their teams appear to be stagnating.

Just think.

This endearing saint, and lovable Westbrook, and the unflappable Durant, were all once together on my squad! :chuckle:

All back when they were still relatively sweet and innocent, of course. Harden seemed like a regular dude, Westbrook was just a hard worker, and Durant was known as a nice guy.

This seems like eons ago.

A lot sure can happen in a decade!
