I proudly hate James Harden

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
In the words of Larry David, “We’ll see.” Many of the guys you named didn’t really fully gain that reputation until they were 4-6 years or more into their careers. I’d say wait until some of this current generations stars start signing their max deals. That’s when the individual players gain a ton of power and generally when most of the guys mentioned started heading in that direction.

It will be interesting to see what guys like Luka, Jokic, Embiid, Tatum, Brown, etc are saying 1-2 years from now if their teams appear to be stagnating.

The move toward team ball and advanced defenses along with the rising talent level makes me wonder. No question there is as much parity as I have ever seen in the league. Gutting a roster for 3 stars hasn't worked lately. You need a strong off and def team 1-9 pretty much to win right now.

How much better would we have felt about the Nets this year if they had Levert and Allen instead of Seth Curry and Drummund for example? Unless Ben comes back like we have never seen, it seems like a lost opportunity for them.

No doubt you still need the top end talent, but I think Role players have been unnecessarily diminished in fans eyes when PJ Brown, PJ tucker and PJ's of all stripes have always needed to step up to help their teams win it all. IT was RJ for us. I would have never expected that, but he was crucial.

I feel like there's a sea change taking place.

We're seeing the last vestiges of the Selfish Superstar era slowly fade into irrelevance. The disgruntled, trade-forcing, coach-killing, superteam-forming dudes are still owed a lot of money around the league, but they don't fit anywhere anymore and they can't do what they once could. They're becoming the elephant in the room.

Harden, Durant, Irving, Westbrook, PG, AD, Kawhi, Bron, even Jimmy Butler... they're all heading into the sunset on their banana boat. Good riddance.

Well AD and Lebron won a championship, and Jimmys heading to his second eastern conference finals in two years, other then that hell yeah

Unfair to lump Bron in with that crowd. He was basically required to win lots of championships as a condition of his hype and talent so I don’t blame him for doing what he needed to do. Don’t really blame Butler either he was destined for a team like Miami.

They are both winners too. If someone truly takes on the burden of carrying a team and does it well it’s harder to blame them

Yeah, good post. You still do need a superstar (witness Giannis) but it feels like the depth of talent on the top teams is greater than it’s been in decades.

Does he exercise his option or become a UFA?

I think he opts in and forces a trade. The only reason he’d opt out would be because he already has a S&T lined up with another team. Otherwise, he’d lose a shot load of money because there’s not going to be a team that could sign him for big money outright.

If no team would sign him for that money they won’t trade for him with that money either, at least not anything the Sixers would want. I think he’ll stay, hard to see him getting a better situation than the Sixers. Good team that needs him, but where he doesn’t have to be the best player. He’ll try to get in shape and take a run at a championship with Embiid

Never said a team wouldn't sign him for that money. I said no team will have the money to sign him outright in FA. It would have to be an S&T to get the money he wants.

James Harden keeps my scrotum moist, because he sucks so bad.

I pray that he never wins a title, because he is an insult to the sport of basketball.

What a thing it is to owe so much for no return.

Some of these supposedly macho insults give entirely too vivid and detailed an image of extreme homosexual activities

After watching last nights opener I don’t see how anybody could enjoy watching 76rs games, the flopathon was horrendous and the refs enabled it, Harden got fouled on 3 3 point attempts…. in one quarter. Add Embiid yikes.

Those Dbags had me supporting for Boston FFS
