That bad lineup construction is leading the division in runs scored per game.
That is not an opinion.
Anybody who suggests that we should trade Franmil at the lowest point of his career, because of 145 PAs out of over 1600 in his career is baseball nuts. And averring that we can do it, because OGonz can step right in and replace him, is doubly baseball nuts.
Again, the majority of regular posters lean heavily to negativity that covers everybody, but Jose.
Disrespect is the constant abuse I take from about a half dozen posters on here. Its okay, I'm a big boy. But pointing out the constant inanity of some of these guys...who should know better...is not.
Again, if you dont like my posts, this site offers an ignore option.
Then quit complaining...lol.These are the GAME THREADS, it comes from all sides in here!!!
Fair or not, my association with Shaw will always be losing the 7th game of the World Series.Shaw gets the raw end of the stick from fans, even now when is essentially Tito's security blanket. Shaw wouldnt be in this situation if guys like Sandlin, Stephan, Morgan, Maton, etc would step up. Or Karinchak would just figure out how to doctor the baseball like most other pitchers and not be Captain Fucking Obvious.
As for Amed, he's in one of his hot spells, of course they need to find ABs for him. But it still doesn't mean he shouldn't have been shipped out in the off-season. Rinse, repeat old arguments: hes not as good of a SS as Gimenez, in any way, and he's shown no real ability to learn another position. The sooner he is dealt, the better. But for now? While the team needs offense and Amed is hot? You run him out there.
No qualms with Straw, as you noted, not many options.

But we could possibly score even MORE runs with better lineup construction. That bad lineup construction is leading the division in runs scored per game.
That is not an opinion.

With the return of Franmil kind of puts us out of wack.
Someone good has to sit, and it's most likely OGoat.
Rosario has been swinging the hottest bat, can't discard him.
Straw has a leash, he can bat horribly and still lead-off. But his defense makes up for bad 5 ABs, when it should be 3-4 ABs.
So I've come to the everyday lineup of:
Kwan RF
Rosario LF
Hosey 3B
Naylor 1B
Franmil DH
Gimenez SS
Miller 2B
Hedges C
Straw CF
Now if Straw completely implodes over the month and come July you want more offense:
Kwan CF
Rosario LF
Hosey 3B
Naylor 1B
Franmil DH
Gimenez SS
OGoat RF
Miller 2B
Hedges C
Sub Straw in anywhere from 6th-9th and let him be effective in Center to close the game out.
Or knowing Tito:
Straw CF
Rosario SS
Hosey 3B
Naylor DH
Franmil RF
Gimenez 2B
Miller 1B
Kwan LF
Hedges C
I'm all in on this. Oscar has one hit in his last 17 AB's with 7 K's.So I've come to the everyday lineup of:
Kwan RF
Rosario LF
Hosey 3B
Naylor 1B
Franmil DH
Gimenez SS
Miller 2B
Hedges C
Straw CF
I'm not trying to bust anybody balls here, but you can't make decisions on small sample sizes, and its important to let kids try to play thru hard times.
In the last three games, OGonz is 3-10 with a HR and two walks.
